0:00 "Hey It's Me" Introduction and Invitation
0:25 The DeMystification Description Offered Today, a solo episode where the focus is about YOU. What does that feel like? What does it look like? Being you...
0:49 How do you feel saying"I am."
1:00 Am I being controversial by participating in this"I am" craze? Are you triggered or upset by this taboo fad?
1:29 Why does everyone care so much how you finish those 3 Simple Letters, those 2 Itty Bitty Teeny Tiny Words? Why, why is it so important to know every aspect, every fiber of what"I am" means to you?
2:03 It's time to go inward and think about what "I amā means to you.
2:15 "I am sorry." was how I used to end the "I am" statements until I figured out who I really am
2:30 āI am not what you say I am.ā Was my main motivator for how I discovered my most authentic self. How I describe and choose to feel when I say āI am.ā
3:00 When we look at what we are saying when we say, "I am" at the very beginning, at the seed of change within the capacity of knowing what that means to you, and how "you are" statements have affected you. "You are" statements must be separated from the subconscious mind. Those statements that completely created who you are today, in your mind. Well those who were the most important very often said you are to you.
4:05 Imagine back to the first time...way back to when "you are" probably sounded loving. "You are so special". "You are perfect." "What a cute baby you are."... Go back in your memories, go back far enough ...to the nurturing and loving statements.
4:50 Through no fault of your own, you grew up, didn't you. Every day in every way your body and your mind grew bigger and older and your brain stopped acting like a sponge and your body eventually ended up what your body has ended up.
5:15 Now all of a sudden the child hears, āyou areā in very confusing ways. You are lazy spoiled. You are not trying hard enough. Well, I am not sure what āyou areā statements created who you are today. Do you think they are true?
5:41 When we hear "you are" and feel an internal need to fight back, when we feel the rage begin to boil, a need to prove them wrong. That is not how we find our authentic, our true, āI amā statements.
6:11 I am not what you say I am. I am not lazy. I am not spoiled. I am not selfish. Whatever you fought back with. That isnāt who you are. By knowing who you are not. By knowing what you are not. You havenāt yet actually experienced who and what you are.
6:47 The most beautiful and amazing thing about hypnotic coaching in my personal experience has been The Transformational Process of seeing each and every one of my clients figure out who they are.
š¼I am strong š¼ I am the greatestš¼
7:10 I didn't know thatās what I was doing. In the beginning. I am going to confess. I thought I was helping people lose weight. Quit smoking. Getting over heartache. What I am really doing, what I love about my job, is removing the confusion of who somebody actually is that allows them to stop fighting about who they are not. Because all that battling is stealing your joy, it is stealing your shine.
8:06 as soon as I knew accepted and loved my I am the way I am now, well it simply became so easy to stop arguing with people who refuse to see me. Other Peopleās Perspectives are not my responsibility. Other Peopleās Perspectives are not your fault (OPPs) Each and every single brain has its own thing going on. Focus on yours. Focus on YOU!
9:00 by doing that...the ripple effects will be amazing, enjoy getting to know who you really are. Thank you for focusing on you!
Thank you for joining in the conversation today. Thank you for focusing on yourself today.

0:01 Dawn's quote:
0:10 Sharon's quote:
0:30 My Belief is we all need to celebrate our many differences, so as not to be intimidated by the perception of too many similarities. We each discuss our own YOUnique qualities within our chosen profession.
0:56 Dawn's journey, in her dedication to helping people. From special education to becoming a professional hypnotist. The intersection of what is possible in the classroom. Dawn contributes "a long history" to our profession.
2:25 Joan Ann's YOUnique perspective began as a nursery nurse. She and her husband decided date-night would be college and she ended up with two masters! Joan Ann shares her similarities with Dawn's story, and the wiser-self's knowledge of, "I wish I knew then what I know now." As one of 13 children, Joan Ann has always brought a lot of experience to the table.
3:33 Sharon's YOUnique perspective shares the overall perspective of the breadcrumbs that lead her to becoming a hypnotist. You will definitely want to hear her explain how as a Doctor of Pharmacy her patients were coming to her on so many medications but not being well. It is the mind, body, approach. Self-Love intersects with Self-Hypnosis.
5:10 My story of survival that lead up to my becoming a hypnotist. I briefly share about what I call my background of 'experiential trauma'. I admit about not being able to go outside, due to the level of anxiety looping in my brain, 6 years ago.
6:24 "The Trajectory of change." It is the belief system that allows the change to occur. I thank our change makers for what they are doing.
7:17 Trauma finds everyone, at some level. Joan Ann and I have a bit of back-and-forth clarifying what each of us is saying.
8:04 Client Trauma Story Time begins with Joan Ann's Pan Am Client who ONLY lived because she disobeyed her father!
9:20 I share a teenager's joke that leads to his confession of almost watching his father burn to death.
10:00 we are not allowed to be trauma therapists. yet every human experiences trauma, at some level, at some point.
10:33 I share a story of a Columbine School Shooting Survivor who now sends her children to school near where she ONLY missed the tragedy due to being disobedient and cutting class.
10:55 "trigger trigger trigger"
11:20 "That's Thee Power Of Hypnosis!"
11:25 Dawn's realization that all the children she worked with over the years lived entire lives of trauma.
12:00 Joan Ann says the most profoundly important comment of the entire podcast. "If only it were covered by insurance."
12:08 Sharon's final comment about patients taking "like 20 medications" is a very close second, and should get the listener questioning, where do you find your healthiest self? How do you feel well? Are you where you want to be?
"What's missing is the mind!"

In this second episode, I will finish covering how the brain functions and why it works as well as it does within the framework of hypnotic healing.
This episode focuses our discussion much further on each biologically built-in layer of protection within the mind, and how each actually gets in the way of us accomplishing our goals.
I will explain why hypnosis can break old protective patterns that have become so habitual that they are unconsciously maintained.
I will detail where these built in protections came from and why they are still around today.
Will our biologically built-in protective functions actually be the downfall of our species?
Finally, I will give you an easy technique to help soothe your nerves that can be used anywhere, doing anything.
There is even a downloadable document to take it one hypnotic-step further!
In this Episode:
0:40 - The basic protective functions of each component of the mind.
2:45 - The journey through the brain, stimulus to response.
