  • In this special episode, Jamie Franklin responds to the recent conversation between Richard Dawkins and Jordan Peterson hosted by Alex O'Connor. Speaking from a theological viewpoint, Rev J says that both Dawkins and Peterson have imbalanced approaches when it comes to the interplay between facts and values. He argues that Christian Theology has to incorporate both to be properly understood and accepted.

  • Rev with a difference Jamie Franklin talks about the big issues of church and state. This time: the Church of England seems to think that we need to drop the word "church", to stay "relevant". Is this strategy theological coherent and will it work to reach the younger generations?
The Rev'd Dr Bernard Randall's case continues to cast an awful light on the senior leadership of the CofE as top KC says that the Archbishop of Canterbury exceeding his power by blocking Randall from appealing against his bishop, Debby Lane.
And controversial cleric Brett Murphy is kicked out of the Free Church of England. Is there anywhere that faithful priests can go where they will not be persecuted?

  • Church of England revs with a difference Thomas Pelham and Jamie Franklin sit down to talk about the biggest affairs in the church and state. This time:
    - The Paris Olympics kicks off with a blasphemous recreation of the Last Supper.
    - The Church of England renews its "anti-bullying" guidance for CofE schools but it appears to be full of woke jargon and to promote a progressive LGBT ideology. What is going on?
    - And the evangelical Keswick Convention reports Christian anti-abortion activist group Brephos to the police for displaying an image of an unborn baby in a street near their headquarters.
All that and much, much more as ever!

  • Rev with a difference Jamie Franklin sits down with Premier League and all-round legend Matthew Le Tissier.
They spoke about Matt's life, his career as a top football professional with Southampton and England and his subsequent life as a pundit, after-dinner speaker, and very good golf player. They also covered Matt's decision to air his views on the Covid situation, his sacking by Sky Sports, and his inside take on what Premier League players really think about the politicisation of football. They touched on Matt's recently found Christian faith and where this fits into what he sees as a societal and cosmic battle between good and evil.
In Rev'd Jamie's monologue, he provides a Christian interpretation of recents events in the US and the CofE's latest 'guidance' on teaching transgender ideology in their schools, and he answers a couple of emails on how Christians should engage under the new Labour regime and the thorny question of hell.

  • Church of England revs with a difference Jamie Franklin and Daniel French sit down to talk about the biggest stories in church and state, this time paying special attention to Labour's win in the General Election. We discuss:

The post-election mood: how are things different from the last Labour turnaround in '97 and is the most underwhelming general election ever? How should Christians respond to a change in their overlords? Kier Starmer's "historic" speech following the Labour victory, apparently written by the Archbishop of Canterbury's speechwriter. Was it any good?In other news, the Church of England General Synod votes to approve same-sex blessings (sort of).Synod also passes a motion to affirm the dignity of unborn babies with disabilities. But does this go far enough in the abortion debate?
