  • Sheesh Karla, it's been a minute hasn't it? If you're new here, we call our listeners Karla! In this longer (for us) episode we update you on what we've been up to, and what's being going on the last 6 months. I (Marla) hate to spoil anything by writing details here so I'll keep it vague. As a side note, we aren't sure how often we'll be recording, but we likely (definitely) won't be publishing a weekly episode at this point, and you'll find out why when you listen. If you've stuck with us during this sabbatical of sorts, we appreciate you!

  • Hey Karla, that's your name when you're listing to the Just Because I Love You podcast! We are all hunkered down wintering a snow storm so today's episode was prerecorded LAST SUMMER. Part one was released in September 2021.  Today we're doing blind reactions to memes and other phrases we've found on social media. We never know where they are going to go topic-wise so be prepared for a little whip-lash.

  • I don't know about you, Karla (that's what we call you, dear listener!) but ever since the November 4th's new moon in Scorpio, the sisters have had a desire for transformation. With our double dose of Astro-energy, burning sage, and crystals, we simply can't ignore our drive to fall for the most ridiculous claims out there. So recite a chant and light a candle while we dive into a new age look at 2 Timothy 3.

  • Hey Karla! It's been nearly 4 weeks since our last episode. There's been a lot more sickness since Christmas and that's made it difficult to all get together. Hopefully that's behind us for now! In this episode we introduce ourselves, Tabby tells us her birth story, and we give an overview of our podcast and the topics we tend to discuss. If you enjoy sharing our episodes with friends, this one will help give them a good intro as to what we're all about, why we do what we do, and talk about what we talk about. Think of this as a reintroduction/refresher to our podcast with better sound quality, and more clarification as to what we 4 sisters are all about! (Season 1 Pilot did not turn out the greatest if we're being honest.) We hope you enjoy this kickstart to Season 2! Also, if you're new here, we've named out listener(s) Karla so when we say, "hi Karla," or "Karla sent us an email," we're talking about a listener! :) We've missed this time together, and we want you to know if you don't have a community like the one we've built (yet) pull up a seat and join ours!

  • If you're new to the "Just Because I love You podcast" you'll figure out quickly that we've named our listeners Karla! Welcome Karla, new and old! On today's episode we answer a few questions that Karla has submitted over the last few months. We don't get to all of them so our goal is to answer the rest at the beginning of Season 2. Tabby experiences contractions in this episode so you'll notice she stops talking and passes the baton to someone else fairly often. Does baby Warren make his arrival on this episode? You'll have to listen to find out! We also give some 2022 family goals and predictions! We're all ill with the sickness of the century so this episode was recorded on Streamyard. Hopefully everything comes through clearly. By next week we have plans to be together again! It's been a very long 2 months of sickness for our families so we're all hoping this grand finale illness closes out our sick season! Thank you for spending 1 whole year with us, Karla. December 23rd is the 1 year anniversary of our pilot episode! We hope you enjoy this episode and frankly we hope it makes sense because this illness has our brains pretty foggy! Sooooo grab those last minute gifts you need to wrap and join us for the Season 1 Finale of the "Just Because I Love You" podcast! Merry Christmas, Karla, from our family to yours!

  • Hey Karla! If you're a new listener, we've named you Karla so welcome new Karla. If you're a seasoned Karla, welcome back sister! Today you're in for an extra special Christmas episode. This one is almost double the length of our normal episodes so Merry Christmas to you, Karla! Don't say we never do anything nice for you! ;) If you're still lying to your kids about Santa you may want to avoid listening to this episode around them. We'll be talking about, well, Santa, and how some Christians seem to think Christmas without Santa gets rid of the magic! We're here to tell you, that's simply NOT true, and we'll talk about how Christmas is still just as captivating without telling your kids some jolly guy broke into your house. lol So if you listen and you still plan on upholding your tradition of lying to your kids, don't blame us for calling you out. Things in this episode might get you heated Karla (if they haven't already) so turn down your fireplace, toss off the blanket, and add a few ice-cubes to your hot chocolate. You're in for a real Christmas treat! Join us on another episode of the "Just Because I Love You" podcast. Also, don't forget to follow us on our socials and submit questions for our upcoming Q&A episode NEXT WEEK! That episode will be our Season 1 finale. Then we'll be taking 2 weeks off with our Season 2 episode set to air on January 5th!

  • Hey Karla, today's episode is about the tragic school shooting that took place in Oxford, MI, one state away from where we live. While many are grieving the loss of 4 Oxford High School students (Tate Myre, Madisyn Baldwin, Hana St. Juliana, and Justin Shilling) others are blaming the presumed bullies of the shooter (Ethan Crumbley). At the time of this recording we didn't have many details surrounding the case, but since then we've discovered that school officials had met with Crumbley the day before the shooting for "concerning behavior," and met with Crumbley AND his parents for a separate issue just hours prior to the shooting. It has been revealed that the shooting was premeditated (journal and video on cell phone) and Crumbley's father had just purchased the gun a few days before the shooting. I've linked a few articles below so you have a place to pull info from if you're new to the story. On this episode we also talk about teaching our children how to deal with bullies, and we address the frankly stupid comments people made on the issue of bullying. Take a deep breath, and join us on another episode of the "Just Because I Love You" podcast. Don't forget to follow us on our socials and submit questions for our upcoming Q&A episode!

  • Today, we combine forces with "The Comedian Next-Door" (also known as Tabby and Mandy's dad, John Branyan and Peaches) to talk about what it's like to be part of/survive/thrive in a family where truth trumps feelings. Originally answering a question from Karl/Karla, we dive into whether Mandy really is as "devastatingly harsh" in real life as she is online, what will likely happen when you start building a truth-speaking family culture, and debate what is really growing in John's shoes.

  • *** Episode Warning: we talk about some heavy topics in this episode. Read the description for more details.***

Karla! How you been? Today was a day. We weren't sure where this episode was going to end up, but we pulled it together and we think it's decent enough. lol All joking aside, we touch on some heavy topics in this one so you may want to listen with headphones or without your kiddos around. We discuss murder, obviously, and sexual abuse. Megan isn't with us today and by the grace of God all the kids we put down for naps ACTUALLY SLEPT including Finley and Aria who shared a room. Aria even woke up before Finley and we managed to get her out of the room before Finley woke up. Finley slept another hour after that!! I (Marla) digress. Anyways, we don't go into much detail so this episode should be fine, even for the squeamish. So grab a seat and your cold coffee, and try to forget about the fact that Thanksgiving is in 15 days.

  • Idols come in many shapes and forms but what does motherhood idolatry look like? Are there blanket rules we can follow to keep ourselves in check? With Marla tuning in from Vegas and plenty of snack-related interruptions, listen in to our conversation and travel down the aisles of Walmart with us. It's Just Because I Love You day!

  • Hey Karla! Typically we post episodes on Wednesday's when we're all together for Just Because I Love You Day, but this week 1/2 of us weren't able to join for one reason or another. If you've been listening closely you'll recall that Mandy has started going to her church on Friday's (fairly recently) to allow others to come checkout what co-op or community homeschooling looks like. Megan and Tabby joined her yesterday so they were able to record an episode! I (Marla) don't think they had a topic prepared to discuss, but luckily one of Mandy's kids had a crazy meltdown so how Mandy handled it turned into the topic of the discussion. We ended up being divided on certain aspects of the situation so be sure to tune into the controversy! Should your kids consider you "safe?" Is it normal to record your kid throwing a fit? Is it okay to tell others about your kids terrible tantrums? We address all these questions and more on this episode of the "Just Because I Love You" podcast! Feel free to message or email us if you have comments or questions! Thanks for listening and be sure to like or follow us on our socials for behind the scenes videos and commentary!

  • Welcome one and all to the "Just Because I Love You Podcast!" If you're a new listener you'll find out very quickly that we call you Karla, or Karl if you're a dude. Today's episode lacks our typical introduction and music. It's actually a spin-off of episode #40. Right after we stopped recording that episode Mandy asked us if she had told us a story about a boy at a youth group and his grandma. We hadn't heard the story so Marla told her to just start recording again and we'd see if the kids let us make it through a 2nd episode without interrupting us for good, and we DID! Anyways, the title pretty much sums up this episode! lol A few quick things: 1) if you tell your friends about our podcast PLEASE send them a link, we can be hard to find for some reason, 2) email or message us if you have questions or comments, 3) don't forget to send us questions for our upcoming Q&A episode, 4) follow us on our socials! Thank you ALL for being such dedicated listeners. We truly never imagined we'd gain the listenership we have in the last (almost) year. We love you all!

  • What's up Karla! Sorry for the delay on this one. If you're new here, we call our listeners Karla and we release a new podcast episode every Wednesday. Marla had some technical issues with her computer, but the wait is over! On this episode we talk about trendy medication for stay at home moms in the 1950s and how today really isn't much different. We give some disclaimers in this episode because we understand that sometimes medications are needed, but we still dig our heels in pretty deep. If you finish this episode feeling kind of "meh" or like we didn't have enough disclaimers or support/understanding/compassion, please listen to two of our earlier episodes (Postpartum Depression - Part 1 & Part 2). In those episodes we're a little more gentle and compassionate. So Karla, before you get your feathers ruffled and type us an angry email please listen to at least one of the aforementioned episodes to get a taste of our compassion on this issue. No matter what, we love you and everything we say in the episode (and always) comes from a place of kindness, love, and truth.

Reminder: We plan on doing a Q&A episode to either close out this season or as our premiere for Season 2 so send us questions to any of the socials below, or email us, and don't forget to like, subscribe, follow, etc.! :)

  • Hey Karla (or Karl) thanks for listening to the "Just Because I Love You" podcast! If you're new here you might be confused as to why we're calling you Karla, that's just the name we've given our listeners. Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought to yourself, "I'm looking extra white nationalist today?" Probably not, but there are people that will call you a white nationalist simply because you're a cookie making, religious, stay at home mom, who homeschools her kids, and makes posts about her "normal" life. (Or something along those lines.) Below we've cited the article Mandy references on this episode so you can read it for yourself after listening to us discuss it! So grab that tote of clothes you've been meaning to sort through and join us around the table for this episode of the "Just Because I Love You" podcast! Also, if you share this or another episode with your friends please be sure to send them a link because apparently we're very hard to find! Don't forget to follow us on our socials (listed below) and email us if you have any questions! Thanks so much for listening!

  • Hey Karla, that's what we call our listeners on the "Just Because I Love You" podcast! We have a few male listeners too so hey Karl! On this episode we spend way too much time talking about rain and umbrellas. THEN we talk about what it looks like to be a bossy, nagging momma, and how that makes someone a "good" mom, but does it? Marla and Megan push back with some "Karla" questions, and we clarify that it IS okay to have help, but it depends on your motivation and if you're still trying to "control" the situations and outcomes or not. Grab your favorite mug, fill it with whatever makes sense and join us around the table for this episode of "Just Because I Love You!" Please reach out if you have questions or want clarification on something we've said! Also, be sure to share this episode with someone you think may like it! Be sure to send them a link because apparently we're really hard to find. lol Thanks for listening!

  • Hey Karla, welcome to our exclusive club! ;) When you tune in to the Just Because I Love You podcast you're affectionately called Karla (or Karl)! Thanks SO much for listening and for sending us questions! In this episode we address the very controversial, but not all that complicated "My Body, My Choice" movement, and prepare you for a life of being misunderstood and maybe even hated. Don't take our word for it, the Bible says so! (John 15:18-21 AMP) Marla also gives a comprehensive list of pro-life people to follow on social media (listed below.) We also address the temptation to be a griping and complaining woman in the church, and how to turn those criticisms into constructive ways to help build up your church. Feel free to keep sending us your questions Karla, and don't forget about our Q&A episode too! Be sure to let us know in your email if your questions are specifically for the Q&A episode (a few months away) or if you'd like us to address your questions sooner. So grab that load of laundry piled up on your bed or turn up the volume and drown out the noise on your commute and join us for Just Because I Love You Day! SIDE NOTE: At the beginning of this episode we talk about how difficult it is to find our podcast so if you share it with a friend (who doesn't have social media) PLEASE send them an episode link so they don't have to spend 30 minutes trying to find us! lol

  • Hey Karla! If this is your 1st episode, Karla is the name we've given our listeners. If you're an OG, welcome back, Karla! We're finally ALL together again for this episode -- all 16 of us. We're including Tabby's unborn baby boy because he's definitely NOT just a clump of cells, but I (Marla) digress. On today's episode of Just Because I Love You, Mandy starts us off with a lesson in limericks and Marla makes a big surprise announcement. The photo she references will be posted on our IG page so be sure to go see for yourself! We also answer 3 questions that Karla emailed to us addressing (in short) how to have conversations on social media with people you don't agree with. If you're new to debating and could use some tips, this is a great episode for you. If you're no "spring chicken" (an old people Marla reference) to triggering people, then this episode will at least help you feel less alone, and who knows... you might learn something new! Here's another friendly reminder to send us your questions for our upcoming Q&A episode, but please be sure to label them as such. If you have pressing questions you want answers to ASAP let us know that too. Soooooo grab a bag of Candy Corn and your Pumpkin Spice... everything (it's ALMOST fall) and join us for another Just Because I Love You Day!

  • Hey Karla, that's your name when you're listing to the Just Because I Love You podcast! Unfortunately, all 4 of us are either sick or taking care of our sick kiddos so we didn't get together on what would've been a B-E-A-UTIFUL JBILY day. Today's episode was prerecorded a few months ago, which is why the outro mentions Facebook. We don't like Facebook so we don't use it anymore! lol Anyways, today's episode is one of my (Marla) faves because we're doing blind reactions to memes and other phrases we've found on social media. Blind React episodes tend to be a little more lighthearted and fast paced. There will be a Part 2 following this episode, but it's not your typical cliff-hanger so we may wait a week or 2 before we post it. We'll see! Grab your favorite beverage and join us at the table for another Just Because I Love You Day! Oh & don't forget to submit your questions for our upcoming (in a few months) Q&A episode. Email might work best for those. Be sure to label them "Q&A Episode" or something like that so we save them for later. Thanks ;)

  • Hi Karla, (that's what we call our listeners on this podcast) thanks for joining us for another "Just Because I Love You Day!" On today's episode we have a family matriarch sitting at the table with us. Marla is running the sound board today so all errors can be blamed on her. lol Tabby announces the gender of her baby so place your final guess before you listen! We also discuss a message from Karla. We love messages and emails so please keep them coming. BUT the main focus of this episode is about idenity, and how when we identify in Jesus and not in our sexuality, race, or anything else really, we won't have issues with people asking us when we plan on having a baby or how many kids we want. So grab that pile of clothes that need folded or relax with that cold cup of coffee and join us for another Just Because I Love You Day! Oh, we plan on doing a Q&A episode to end this season or for the premiere of season 2 so please send us your questions!
