    Jessalyn grew up very alone and experienced many forms of trauma. She spent most of her life feeling ashamed and burying everything she had experienced and was feeling.

    Through therapy, she started to process 3 decades of pain and trauma, from physical, mental, and emotional abuse, to time spent in Foster care and women’s shelters. She realized that there was one major experience She had been hiding from since the age of 10. She was a victim of the Child Sexual abuse/ Child porn case from Willow River BC in 1998.

    After decades of being silenced she knew she wanted to share it with the world to give hope to anyone who is suffering from the effects of trauma and prove that no matter where you came from or what your story is, there can be beauty on the other side of pain.

  • Karen has over 25 years' experience in the financial industry and holds her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. She has been recognized by IG as a strong leader and has worked as both a Division Director and Regional Director. In 2019, she stepped down to join her daughter, Kayla, in running their financial practice. In the same year Karen won Kelowna's Top 40 over 40. Karen is also a dedicated and active philanthropist. In 2021, she was recognized by IG for her community service with the Herb Caregie award. She is currently serving on the board of Kelowna Seniors Outreach Society.

    Kayla is an industry advocate, has a bachelor's degree in Finance and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. She was named the youngest CFP professional in IG across Canada at the time of reception.
