Working tonight tightening up a song I've call "Its Home", it made me think.

Happy SUNDAY folks! Hope having a great day! :) Well rested and coffee in hand to start my day as usual! Been busy last while figuring my next release and plan of attack. lol Little mellow today and these 2 songs seemed fitting. 2 originals, "Simple Man" and "Heaven Knows". Hope you enjoy.

Sitting admiring one of my favourite coffee mugs, it got me thinking, "Hmmm…I like my mugs." Lol, omg, I weird like that. This one happened to be a mug I picked up on my summer trip to Iceland…but I have lots of favourites, and it got me thinking that I like a lot of things AND about a song I wrote a year or two back. Kinda tweaked it this morning and thought I'd share with you. I call it "I Like A Lot of Things", a little bit of an emotional lovey dovey song… :) but that's ok, that's me!

Happy Friday! SoOo What makes a GOOD SONG? Lots of people ask, and lots of people have their own personal answer. For me, I believe a good song is one that creates an emotional response in the listener, leaving that everlasting mark, and taking you back in time, reliving those emotions once again like the first time you heard it. For me, there are a number so songs…I can't tell you exactly which ones, but as soon as I hear the first chord, I'm taken back to that place in time. Just yesterday, it happened to me, once again, with the Rascal Flatts song, "Skin". Geepers, I still get choked up. Take a listen. Comment. Send me a replay on Facebook or email. Little Wednesday evening with my J45. :) Reflecting a bit…how songs seem to resonate and can touch emotionally. Well, Riley Green's song definitely did that with me…stop and think. A great song. I try to put my spin on it, and try to play my version of "I Wish Grandpas Never Died". Have a great evening folks.
