Hey everybody, welcome back to MOVIE Morning! One of my most anticipated films of the year, Richard Linklater's Hit Man, has now hit theaters locally. It has been playing on Netflix in most markets for over a week now but that wasn't the case in my corner of the world where we're getting a full theatrical release. As a HUGE Linklater and Glen Powell fan, the early buzz surrounding this movie back during awards season got me really pumped to check this one out. I've finally seen it so here are my thoughts on whether or not this is one of Linklater's best!

Hey everyone, the fourth Bad Boys film - Bad Boys: Ride or Die - has hit theaters globally. I only got into this franchise a couple of years ago and admittedly, I am not really a super fan of the Bad Boys films like I am for some of my favorite action franchises like Mission: Impossible. That being said, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's chemistry always keeps these films alive and entertaining no matter what. I've also become a pretty big fan of the directing duo Adil & Bilall, who directed the previous Bad Boys film (BY FAR the best of the franchise up to that point), the best episodes of Ms. Marvel and the, unfortunately, canceled Batgirl film. So, does Bad Boys: Ride or Die serve as another solid entry in the franchise or is it staring to show signs of running out of gas? Find out in this review!

Hey everybody, season 1 of the SPECTACULAR X-Men '97 has wrapped up its run on Disney+. have been EAGERLY awaiting covering the remainder of the season ever since I reviewed the first two episodes and how much I just LOVED them. While I do think the season does have its hiccups, this season is everything I love and have missed with the X-Men in the films and even recent comic runs. I will also be delving deep into spoiler plot lines so be warned before listening to this review! Enjoy!

Hey everyone, the series premiere (first two episodes) of the latest Star Wars series ‘The Acolyte’ has dropped on Disney+. Prior to seeing how these shows eventually turned out, this was one of my more anticipated projects from Disney Star Wars but shows like The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi have killed most of my enthusiasm for this franchise. The trailers themselves also fell very flat. So, does The Acolyte continue the downward spiral of these Star Wars shows or will it inject new life into this fizzling saga? Welcome back to another episode of MOVIE Morning as we discuss the first trailer for Sony and Marvel’s upcoming VENOM: THE LAST DANCE, the movie that seems to be Tom Hardy’s swan song playing this character. What I have I just witnessed? Rumors about the plot for this third entry have been circulating for a year now but now seeing the trailer, it’s pretty impressive how much they’ve been able to hide from us until now. Here, I discuss my initial reaction to the trailer and the potential plot implications of a Symbiote invasion, as well as how this trilogy could close out!

Hey everyone... Garfield returns to the big screen in a new animated adaptation! The Garfield Movie is the latest summer 2024 blockbuster but one of the first to be directly aimed at kids so it's going to be interesting to see how the box office shapes up for this film over the next couple of weeks. While I was pretty big on reading Garfield comics on newspapers when I was younger, I can't exactly say that this is one of the IPs from my childhood that I've been clamoring to get rebooted. So, does The Garfield Movie provide innocent family fun and feel true to the character... or is it a generic 'kids' film? Find out in this review!

Oh, what a day. What a lovely day! Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - one of my absolute most anticipated movies of the entire year, let alone the summer movie season - has hit theaters. Hey everyone, John Krasinski's latest film 'IF' has hit theaters globally! I absolutely LOVED his two 'A Quiet Place' films and I love that, instead of continuing in his sandbox, he Krasinski decided to do something wildly different for his next film: what he has called a film for his kids. So, is IF the charming (and tearjerking) family event of the summer or is it a little forgettable? Find out in this review!

Hey everyone, "what a wonderful day!" Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, one of my most anticipated movies of the year, has now hit theaters! I absolutely loved the previous trilogy, particular the latter two films directed by Matt Reeves (who went on to direct The Batman). The trailers for this film and how it seemed like this movie was going to handle the legacy of Caesar seemed awesome to me. Hey everyone, the day so many of us have been long-anticipating has finally arrived! James Gunn has dropped the first FULL LOOK at David Corenswet's Superman suit in the upcoming Superman film (formerly known as Superman: Legacy). This is EASILY my most anticipated upcoming movie because of how much I ADORE all of James Gunn's comic book films and how much Superman, as a character and role model, has meant to me ever since I was a child. Hello everybody, welcome to a (for those of you in the US, slightly early) review of the new Ryan Gosling & Emily Blunt film: The Fall Guy. This was easily one of my most anticipated films of the year; not because I watched the original 80s TV show but because I just loved the concept of creating a love letter to stuntmen, the unsung heroes of Hollywood, in an action comedy that's also being directed by a former stuntman. Hey everyone, Zack Snyder is back with the second part of his 'Rebel Moon Epic' - The Scargiver. Hey everyone, Radio Silence's latest film Abigail has hit theaters! I've always enjoyed vampire flicks but more importantly, as I've been saying for years, I LOVE horror-comedies and Radio Silence seem to be doing a great job of keeping that blend of genres alive with Ready or Not, their two Scream films and now Abigail. Hey everyone, the sequel to 2021's Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the fourth film in this continuity - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - has FINALLY hit theaters here! Better late than never! Hey everyone, Alex Garland’s Civil War, the movie destined to be potentially the most polarizing film in 2024 has hit theaters globally. I loved the first Joker but have had almost zero excitement for this sequel; I’ve been a lot more intrigued and curious. Hey everyone, the greatest superhero (show) in the universe - INVINCIBLE - has finally wrapped up the second half of season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. It has been a long wait to see season 2 and an even longer wait to see season 2 wrap up (obviously), including an almost 4-month long break in between parts. I have LOVED both the comic book series as well as the show for years now and the first half of season 2 was a banger. I went into this really hoping that part 2 could cement season 2 of Invincible as one of the greatest seasons of superhero TV ever. Does it succeed or is it this show's first set of misfires? Hey everyone, the next installment of Legendary's MonsterVerse - Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - has hit theaters globally. I've never been huge into Kaijus and Godzilla films but I surprisingly enjoyed Godzilla vs. Kong (or at least the 30% of it that had epic monster action that was awesome). With Adam Wingard returning to direct I was hopeful that GxK would lean harder into the stuff that worked about the last one. Hey everyone, the 2024 remake of Road House, directed by Doug Liman and the insane amount of controversy on the release of this film, has now hit theatres. I hadn’t seen the original Road House until two months ago when the trailer for this film dropped and looked awesome.
