To meet the criteria, we discuss horror films for a good 0.5% of the pod, leaving room for free-wheeling psychopathic chat with 3 extra special boys from the UK with dubious claims of DBS checks (whatever that means).
Also, we're a tape label now and we're releasing their tape in US and AUS! Enjoy!

First episode of "Season 2" and sorry it took so long!
We (kind of) address the hiatus as well as dive into David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future, touch back up on remakes, some current musings on hardcore, and a lil' bit of this and a lil' bit of that. Hope you enjoy, because there's more on the horizon!

So, 2021 turned out to have a mutated sort of energy following the mess that was 2020, but as far as hardcore and film was concerned, there was a lot to be excited about! We turned off all semblance of structure and just barrelled through our end of year highlights, likely forgetting a million other things (did I mention Method of Doubt? I'm worried I forgot to, but don't you forget!). Idk, this one is a mess, but it's our mess, so enjoy!
This will be our last episode for a little break, but we're gonna come back with a bit more quality and consistency (maybe). Either way, enjoy!!

First and foremost, my deepest apologies for the delay! The holiday season has been tremendously busy for a multitude of reasons (work, family, medical, musical, magical, etc.) and this episode was recorded a few weeks ago, but I believe it was well worth the wait!
This time, we have the pleasure of someone with much more experience than us knuckleheads taken out of their hosting seat and placed at the other end of the metaphorical table. The man, the myth, the Mikey, Michael Kent is a dude with the right affinity for the spooky and really adds a lot to the discussion of, but not limited to;
Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Shinya Tsukamoto, Australian Hardcore, DIY Capitalism in the form of merch flipping, Japanese Vs. Western Cyberpunk, and gatekeeping nerd culture.
Enjoy! Or Don't!

Welcome to episode 12, where we discuss (among MANY other things) wrestling, Okilly Dokilly, the (to an American) esoteric Sydney hardcore scene, genital-based pranks, racism (more or less), and our central topic, the 2002 film 28 Days Later. This one is way more Aussie than usual, so good luck deciphering all the wacky shit!
Check out some of Tully's VERY sick bands!

No guest this time, but still plenty to discuss! On this episode we discuss Castlevania: SOTN, the time I didn't actually almost get arrested, Illumination! Studios and the Society of The Spectacle, Australian Soap Operas, The Nightingale (go watch it NOW) and the depiction of the effects of Settler Colonialism in Australia and New Zealand, and Halloween Kills (and other Halloween, the movie, related sub-topics)!
Enjoy!

We made it to ten episodes, who'd have thought?! This one was a really fun time of just hanging out with Ace (Forum of Passion Podcast, M.A.D., BreakXAway) talking about Australian Hardcore and Parkway Drive being connected to everything, Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsy's, New Coke Zero and the word "pop," Whose Line Is It Anyway?, X Japan, two straight edge dudes and a drunk bogan talking about where to buy liquor in different parts of the country/world, and one of the greatest dark fantasy epics of all time: Army of Darkness. This is a looser, longer, and rawer episode, but maybe... this is the way? Enjoy!!!

It's been a bit of a delay since the last episode, but this one is a fun one for sure. A little bit more raw and loose, we have a special guest in the form of our (Aussie) friend Tyronne, a big brain artist that's been in strictly sick bands and we discuss the sci-fi horror masterpiece "Event Horizon." Strap in and enjoy!

Featuring the lawless Grey and Nate from the Demolisten podcast, this may very well be the most non-PC episode so far, as we frequently abandon the topic of the chosen films (The Thing (1982) and Evil Dead 2) to discuss, among other things; Chris-Chan and incest, Sonic the Hedgehog foot fetishes, kink shaming furries, sleeping in Ikea, the Kangaroo Gangs of the Australian Outback, and more jabberthan is worth paying any mind to for the common man.
This is the one we are most proud of and most ashamed by. Also, Niall is an idiot and called it Episode 9. Enjoy, freaks.

To compensate for our strictly hardcore related two-parter, we've come back with a dose of pure horror discussion. This time it's all about the value (and, often, lack thereof) of extreme horror media and our own takedown of the disturbing film iceberg and why it does not particularly excite us as nuanced and learned students of the genre.
-
Welcome back to PART TWO with the one, the only, Damien Moyal! This time, we continue our conversation in discussing Refuse to Fall and "Post-Youth Crew," making the music you want to hear, what exactly IS "metallic hardcore," how regional influence comes to present itself, additional Culture lore, very wack 90's desktop PC graphic design, who the "true" vocalist of Morning Again is, how to take a beating, and what's better for writing setlists: Ballpoint pens, or sharpies?! Enjoy! Or Don't!
-
Our first guest episode!! Damien from As Friends Rust, Damien Done, Culture, and many, many, MANY more joins us as we discuss earth tone merch and bad band names, OG Culture (NOT the reggae band!) lore, singing for way too many bands at once, edge breaks and rumors of edge breaks, the Morgoth bootleg tape saga, Turnstile is dance music, math-y technical music kind of sucks, and how getting into hardcore is kind of... hard! Sorry, NO horror movie talk this time, but a lot of fun stuff that will be continued with a pretty wacky and wild part 2! Enjoy!
-
This was originally going to be our first video episode, but there was a goof-up and now that's a lie. Sorry! Today, we discuss meta-horror, and in a rare instance, pretty much stay on topic until the end, where we, somewhat in passing, discuss the latest Turnstile release. Enjoy!
-
Today, we talk about Australian horror and hardcore in honor of the Australia half of this hosting duo... for about 5 minutes. Expect also discussions of 18 Visions-core, Horror movies needing to be "fun" above all else, Mortal Kombat (2021), how to do and not-do agenda-laden genre films, and Niall's top 5 Aussie Hardcore and top 3 Aussie Horror flicks. Enjoy! Or Don't! G'day, mates!
-
This week (or so), we discuss the connections between horror media and hardcore punk rock 'n' roll, The Return of the Living Dead and Night of the Demons (NOT the remake), horror as social commentary, "horror" vs. "thriller," how and why representation matters in media, and SO much more! (probably)
-
In this debut episode, we introduce ourselves and our histories with horror and hardcore music, opine on Re-Animator and Night of the Creeps, and go off on Mortal Kombat: The Movie: The Game Vs. Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game, PC Vs. Console FPS's, the disturbing film iceberg, and much more! Enjoy!
