Hello!
If you are reading this that means you’ve expressed some interest in humoring me with this little endeavor, so…thank you so much!
If you are like me and feel that 2020 has been the actual coming of the end of times, then you may need a distraction from time to time.
That is why I am starting a new project called Queer Movie Review!
What is Queer Movie Review?
Well, it’s a bi-monthly podcast and newsletter discussing film and TV through a queer lady lens.
Every newsletter will contain a podcast episode plus some extra tidbits of information.
Today’s episode, the very FIRST episode ever, focuses on… Happiest Season:
******SPOILERS******
This podcast assumes that you have watched the film. If you HAVEN’T seen Happiest Season yet….GO WATCH IT it’s on Hulu :)
Today’s featured guests are:
* Main discussion: Naomi Bennett, CEO and Founder of LesFlicks.com an AMAZING website that you should really check out!
* After show deep dive: Jill, my dear friend since college! Follow her @popcornandpetnat for her dope wine endeavors ;)
As I mentioned in the episode, check out this great exclusive interview with Happiest Season director and co-writer, Clea DuVall, from Variety!
I’ll let you listen to the podcast to find out our thoughts on Happiest Season but for me, personally, I thought this tweet from Heather Hogan, senior writer at Autostraddle, summed it up nicely:
Here’s what ELSE to watch:
Along with discussing a newly released film every podcast episode, I’ll also offer a few other queer centered films or TV shows that you might be interested in checking out.
All are available to stream NOW:
Uncle Frank: Amazon Prime
A New York Christmas Wedding: Netflix
Ammonite: Rent or Buy Wherever You Purchase Digital Content
Please be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any new episodes or updates
Also, please consider sharing! I’d be eternally grateful.
Follow us on social here:
I promise to only be emailing you episodes or important updates concerning Queer Movie Review. Of course, if you don’t want yet another email or podcast flooding your inbox I totally understand! Just let me know and I’ll be sure to take you off the list :)
Until next time.
Cheers,
Gabi
