Gday everybody, you are tuning into another rest, digest and progress podcast. I am your host Travis Fay and I have yet another podcast for you in case you couldn't get enough of last week. Today I am joined by Strength and conditioning coach Nick Cidado, who currently works out of Boston college. Throughout Nick's career he has worked at a variety of different institutions, including several private sectors such as Velocity Sport performance, MJP strength and conditioning and evolution sport performance. Nick has also worked in the IVY league, coaching multiple teams at Harvard University. For the past 5 years Nick has achieved tremendous success at Boston college where his division 1 women's lacrosse team has won the NCAA championship not just once but twice during his time there. He has also had the privilege of coaching multiple Player of the Year recipients, League MVP’s and All-Conference selections alongside some of the best coaches in collegiate sports. In today's podcast we also discussed the intricacies of his latest book, sweat more during peace, bleed less during more. A book that encompasses the diligent procedures of planning and preparation, for not just success in collegiate athletics, but also the guidelines of acquiring disciplined habits that build character and grit in the real world. Gday everybody, the podcast is back up and running and what a guest I have for you today. Coach Angello Gingerelli joins me to discuss his latest upcoming book titled “The next four years - Compete, Win and Thrive in college sports”. Coach Angelo currently resides at Seton Hall University where he has been working as a Strength and Conditioning coach for almost 20 years. Apart from his extensive work at Seton Hall and being in charge of more than eight varsity sports, Coach Angelo has held similar positions working at Virginia Tech, North Carolina State and even the Pittsburgh Pirates. And to top things off Coach Angelo holds the title of New Jersey State Director of the National Strength & Conditioning Association, and is also an adjunct professor. On today's podcast we take a deep dive into Coach Angelos latest book, and bring notice to the strength and conditioning world from a different perspective, this time from the eyes of our athletes and what it means to be successful in not only the collegiate setting, but how to set ourselves up for any of life's obstacles.

Could not be more excited to bring to you guys the first Nutrition episode on my podcast, and what better way to bring it to all of you than interviewing the lovely Meghan Moore. Currently Meghan is the leading campus Dietician for Mercy University, where she is responsible for the campus dining experience for more than 8,000 students. Although a newly appointed role Meghan has had such a dramatic impact on the health and wellness of the Mercy University population. Introducing multiple educational outlets for students to have a better understanding of the nutritious value of certain food groups, implementing the use of grub hub for the students who are always on the go, and even creating cooking stations that gives students a hands on approach when it comes to gaining more control over their nutritious lifestyle.

Ladies and Gentleman it brings me great pleasure to introduce to you another stellar guest this evening, this incredible coach has had a huge impact on myself actually, she has not only been a great mentor that has helped me get to where I am today but also someone who has simply inspired me and displayed all of the top qualities it takes to be a great coach. Dani Tocci is joining me today as we dive into another fitness discussion. Dani Tocci has several years under her belt as a strength and conditioning coach in a variety of different settings including Division 1, Division 2 collegiate levels and soon to be the head Strength and Conditioning Coach in the high school setting. As of right now Dani is the owner and founder of Strength Beyond the Barbell, a privately owned and appointment-only Strength facility that caters towards youth athletes as well as the general population. With all that being said how about we jump right into it!

Hello everyone Rest Digest Progress is finally BACK and better than EVER! I have a fantastic lineup of podcasts for you all throughout this summer and starting off strong we have the Head Strength and Conditioning from Fordham University Joe Gilfedder. In this podcast we take a deep dive and explore the foundations of Strength and Conditioning within the collegiate setting across various Division levels, we touch on the importance of individualisation for the sake of athletic progression and performance, and we also get to discuss several engaging topics within the fitness field that may or may not be as promising as some coaches may think.

Social media has definitely effected the way people perceive health and fitness, and it is seen so clearly in respect to women and their idea of body imagery and overall lifestyle. Today I am very thankful to be joined by owners of both TSUBIFIT and SB Fitness the fantastic Susannah and Sally. These ladies, despite their differences in their style and area of training both aim to advertise women empowerment in fitness and lifestyle, and give women of all ages the ability to be confident in oneself through fitness training, and build upon positive reinforcement and mental wellbeing.

One of the most important traits that all individuals should be developing is the ability to continuously learn and educate oneself. On todays podcast Leon Keir and I discuss the importance of education and self growth under the umbrella of health and wellness.
