Itâs time to start taking up spaceâŠ
This week, weâre joined by an icon of the internet and one of our favourite content creators - Megan Jayne Crabbe.
Megan shot to fame under the handle BodyPosiPanda, becoming a leading force in the body positivity space online. Nearly a decade later, she has stepped away from that username and in this episode, she tells us why.
We speak honestly about the pressures of online visibility, the toll it took on her self-esteem, and what it really means to show up as herself online.
We also chat about the body positivity movementâs rise and fall, the Ozempic era, and why Megan believes we need radical authenticity.
Meganâs new book We Donât Make Ourselves Smaller Here is an insightful and empowering guide for dealing with adversity and embracing authenticity in all areas of our lives - encouraging us to exist as our biggest, most unapologetic and most whole selves. Itâs out on Thursday 26th June - you can get your copy here!

Today weâre discussing the various dents in our skulls, the dramatic ways we came earthside and a Danny OâDonoghue jumpscare (trust me⊠it will make sense eventually)
We also dive into the overwhelming rise of SkinnyTok on Instagram and TikTok - a trend which sees influencers and creators sharing weightless tips and tricks - reminiscent of the pro-anorexia content we saw online during our teenage years. We discuss the hashtag being banned, what it means for the way we look at our bodies and how we feel targeted by the algorithms.
Is SkinnyTok getting to you? If you want to tell us about it - you can email us on [email protected]

If youâve felt overwhelmed, confused or angry about the high-profile court cases going on at the moment⊠this is the episode for you.
Today, weâre joined by criminal behavioural analyst and creator of The Crime Analyst podcast - Laura Richards. She came in to help us unpack and understand the media and public conversation around the high profile cases of Sean Diddy Combs, Blake Likely vs Justin Baldoni, Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard and Russell Brand.
Laura trained at New Scotland Yard and the FBI Behavioural Analysis Units and is an international expert on domestic violence, stalking, sexual violence, homicide and risk assessment.
Laura breaks down whatâs happening inside these high profile courtrooms and with her expertise in coercive control, power dynamics and the criminal justice system, she helps us understand how these cases reflect misogyny, victim-blaming and institutional failure. We also explore how these stories are framed, how narratives are manipulated, and how society often protects the powerful at the expense of the vulnerable.

In recent episodes, weâve been discussing the disturbing rise in male violence against women and girls, and how technology is accelerating and amplifying these threats. From AI-generated deepfakes to the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, the digital world has created new frontiers for abuse and itâs more important than ever to talk about it.
Today, we're continuing that conversation with presenter, womenâs rights campaigner, and former model Jess Davies.
Jess opens up about her personal experience of being a victim of image abuse multiple times in her life, including when she was a child. She talks about the long-lasting impact that trauma had on her sense of self, her career, and her relationships and how she has used that experience to become an advocate for women.
Jessâs new book No One Wants To See Your Dick - is a handbook for survival in the digital world to help us understand and tackle online misogyny and question society's understanding (or lack of) when it comes to consent. You can buy your copy here!

Women's healthcare is in crisis - and things need to change.
Todayâs guest is the legendary broadcaster Naga Munchetty - Naga is one of the UKâs most high-profile journalists known for her work on BBC Breakfast and BBC 5 Live. But behind her incredible career, Naga has been living with a debilitating condition: since her teenage years, sheâs suffered from excruciatingly painful periods⊠so severe they caused her to vomit, faint, and miss out on everyday life.
After being diagnosed with a condition called adenomyosis at the age of 47 - Naga made it her mission to advocate for better healthcare for women and in Nagaâs new book Itâs Probably Nothing she draws on her own experience of being dismissed, undiagnosed and misdiagnosed to explores the devastating outcome of decades of ingrained medical misogyny.
Itâs Probably Nothing: Critical Conversations on the Women's Health Crisis and What We Can Do About It is out now. You can buy your copy here!

Harriet Cowan is not your stereotypical farmer.
British farmers are under pressure and are often misunderstood. Harriet is making it her mission to change our perception of farmers and farming. Not only does this woman run two farms with her boyfriend - she also works five days a week as a nurse - we're pretty sure she's one of the hardest working people in the country.
She came in to tell us all about the fascinating, relentless farming industry - what it means to take over a family farm, the pressures she and other farmers are under and the mental health impact of loneliness amongst farmers.
We had a lot to learn from Harriet - sheâs an incredibly passionate, driven woman - and she taught us so much about this vital industry.

Guys, a miracle has happened - Al is happy with the weather today!
On todayâs episode weâre discussing Emâs food poisoning *situation*⊠which miraculously didnât actually originate in the Light household.
We chat about sports bras - and how much of a barrier boobs can be for women getting into exercise. And we discuss the internetâs reaction to Blue Ivy - why do people feel like they can speak about a 13-year-old child in the way they do online?
And if youâre curious about the shared vibrator⊠we will never reveal our secrets.

Words matter and the way we use them can either uphold or challenge harmful systems.
This week weâre joined by Sydney - the co-founder of This Ends Now, a not-for-profit dedicated to preventing male violence against women and girls through reframing conversations. Sydney tells us how language plays a powerful role in shaping our understanding of sexism and male violence and how changing the words we use can help dismantle the patriarchy.
We dive into their powerful âRed Penâ campaign, which calls out the victim-blaming, misogynistic language too often used in headlines and police reports and corrects them to advocate for responsible reporting.
Our chat with Sydney was fascinating, and really opened up our eyes to how simple changes to the language we use can make a huge difference - and felt particularly important off the back of our conversation with Laura Bates last week. Do go back and listen to that episode if you havenât already.

Greetings loved ones! Happy Alâs Got A Fringe Day to all who celebrate!
Itâs been a big week for us - not only has Emâs had a man look up her drain - but weâve also been loving seeing your comments on Mondayâs episode with Laura Bates. Weâve decided to continue the conversation on this Mondayâs episode with a very exciting interview⊠which seems especially pertinent in light of the GĂ©rard Depardieu being charged for sexually assaulting two women - and Cannes Film Festival announcing their new red carpet nudity ban. Why is the landscape for women becoming more and more difficult - and how can our use of language help us to overcome it?

The Netflix show Adolescence opened up the conversation about male violence and the radicalisation of young boys online into the mainstream. But how much do we really know about what young boys are viewing online and the effect is has on them?
This week, we're joined by someone whose work has shaped the conversation around gender, power, and the internet for over a decade - writer, activist, and founder of the Everyday Sexism Project, Laura Bates.
We were so thrilled to welcome Laura back on the podcast to talk about her brand new book, The New Age of Sexism - an examination of how misogyny is evolving in the digital age. We spoke to her in light of the rise in incel culture, the mainstreaming of online radicalisation, and the links between toxic masculinity and real-world male violence,
This conversation touches on some upsetting themes - specifically violence against women and sexual abuse. But Laura gives us practical advice on a personal and policy level to help us eradicate this new wave of gendered hate. We learned so much from this conversation and we hope you will too.

This week, weâre discussing all things adulthood: the good, the bad, and the âoh god, no oneâs coming to rescue me.â From the never-ending responsibilities to the realisation that the buck officially stops with you, weâre discussing all what it's like to be a responsible adult (spoiler: itâs exhausting)
Weâre also reminding ourselves - and you - why itâs so important to prioritise yourself. Alâs long-overdue facial is officially on the agenda.
Plus, we dive into a listener email with a relationship dilemma and do our best to offer some honest advice (with minimal chaos). Got something you want to ask us? Slide into our inbox: [email protected]

What would you do if you got stuck in a cave?
Cave diving is something that has fascinated - and terrified - us for a long time - and today we had the opportunity to get all our questions answered by acclaimed explorer and cave diver - RannvĂĄ JĂžrmundsson.
RannvĂĄ has a background as a professional diving instructor, specialising in cold water. RannvĂĄ is originally from the Faroe Islands, but currently lives in Cornwall, where she works for the diving equipment company Fourth Element. Rannva has been diving since 2008 and is an IDC Staff instructor and full cave CCR diver, and she is a member of the Explorers Club in New York.
RannvĂĄ told us all about her passion for diving, how she feels it's the best form of mediation and also how she uses her extensive training to handle the risks and dangers involved in cave exploration. Stay tuned to find out if she can convince us to take a dive...

Al (aka Revolting Santa Claus) has come into the studio today armed with many, many, many awkwards for us.

It really does help us out if you rate and follow the show on your podcast platforms - so weâd LOVE it if you could leave us a good review if you love the show! Five stars pretty pleeeeeeasseeee!
And we also chat about Alâs recent experience of being turned into a deepfake - and what it tells us about the fragility of womenâs reputations in comparison to men - particularly in light of Russell Brandâs recent rape and sexual assault charges.

Whether you or someone you know lives with bipolar disorder or if you're simply curious to learn more - we hope you find this conversation helpful!

When it comes to IVF - the narrative can often be to keep going and going, and going until you have a baby.
Sometimes, however, the more sensible decision is to stop - and that is what was right for Anna Hart and her husband.
Anna is content creator, interiors planner and digital strategist. After starting her IVF journey during lockdown, and after three unsuccessful rounds - they made the decision to stop.
This is a side of the IVF conversation we donât often hear about - Anna tells us about what she went through and how she has found happiness after coming out the other side of IVF without a baby.
