Guest - Abraham E. Flanigan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of educational psychology at Georgia Southern University. Dr Flanigan is the senior chair of the American Educational Research Association's Studying and Self-Regulated Learning Special Interest Group. He specializes in factors influencing undergraduate motivation and self-regulation, such as digital distraction, student-instructor rapport, and note-taking mediums. Dr Flanigan has been recognized as one of the most productive early-career educational psychology researchers globally.

In this episode we delve into the lives of Rohingya refugee children, exploring their struggles, resilience, and the hopes they carry for a brighter future. The Rohingya crisis, one of the world's most dire humanitarian situations, has left countless families displaced and seeking refuge. As of September 2023, a total of 965,467 Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh have been officially registered and provided documentation through collaboration between the Government of Bangladesh and UNHCR. Notably, over half of the registered refugees (52%) are children.
In an exclusive interview, Professor Mahbub Alam Prodip, who has worked closely with the Rohingya refugee children, speaks about the unimaginable challenges they face and how education serves as a potential lifeline to a brighter future.

A Ph.D. holder in Peace Studies from the University of New England, he is a prominent feminist scholar and a leading authority on refugee education in South Asia, with numerous publications and an edited book on the subject.
