ISSA NEW SEASON!
The Bible can feel really intimidating, but what if you could approach it full of faith, guaranteed to meet God as you engaged your Word?
In this podcast, I share four things I do to stay consistent when reading the Scriptures.
My goal is that you finish the podcast trusting that God will meet you in His Word.
Show Notes:
You can engage the Scriptures, over the course of your lifetime.
Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Jesus is the Word.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God."
John 1:1-2
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world."
Hebrews 1:1-2
4 Simple Tips on Engaging the Word
Pray and give God your time in the Bible. Trust that He will meet you. He really wants to! Read a chapter. Simplify with one, two, or ten chapters, as long as you can be consistent. Take note of what surprises, encourages, reminds, and challenges you. Journal your prayers, actions, thoughts, and ideas. The key is formation. You are formed by what you do.
"And he answered them, “To you, it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them, it has not been given."
Matthew 13:11
God desires to meet you in the Scriptures. So don't let fear, intimidation, or perfection, steal the riches hidden for you in His Word.

Eniola sits down with two of her closest friends: Elyssa Smith & Joel Figueroa, at the dining table and pressed record. With laughter and near tears, they discuss what makes a good friendship and their history, with each other.
Joel references the book, Every Moment Holy in the beginning.
Eniola references sermons by John Mark Comer on the Table when she mentions the "architecture of the church."
