Not to sound like a gamer boomer, but the modern day scene has been putting more and more focus on games as a service. Instead of a complete, concise package that tells a fulfilling story through satisfying, tight gameplay, some developers have opted for systems that promote future growth on one platform to tell “evolving stories”. What this usually means is you can expect online multiplayer, microtransactions, and a tacked-together story.
Well here at the Game Raiders podcast we have some opinions! So sit back and listen for a small fee of $8.99

Welcome fellow Game Raiders!
The Eastern market. How can a Western company get a strong presence there? That is the question that Microsoft has been asking with Xbox for most of its lifetime. Xbox historically has had a weak presence in Japan, while Playstation, from Sony - the Japanese based company, has had control of the market there and here in the US since the late 360/PS3 era.
Today Raiders Sergio and Drew will discuss what Xbox is currently doing and what they can do to break through in the Japan market and grow into the Eastern market. What would that mean for Xbox going forward? What moves will make this more likely? Yes, we also talk about GamePass. Go figure.

To design a successful video game series is what most creators probably dream of, but alas... not all stars shine as bright. Even a once successful franchise may fade into the forgotten void of games past.
So join us as we pay tribute to the fallen series that will probably never see the favor of a resurrection.
(NOTE: At the time of this posting news has broken on a new Splinter Cell game being developed!)

Welcome fellow Raiders!
Music is an important medium for telling us how we should feel. In video games, this can mean the difference between a whimsical romp through the Mushroom Kingdom or trudging slowly through a pitch-black hallway in the Raccoon City Police Department with one bullet and a hallway filled with possible undead. Music has a way of elevating a work higher with its inclusion.
So join us as we discuss our ten favorite video game soundtracks and what makes them great in our eyes. What makes our list? What did we leave out? Do you have a favorite track?
