Superior is a Czech brand that has been making bicycles since 1989, with elite XC mountain bike teams competing at the highest level of the sport in Europe. Now, Bikes Online are bringing the brand to Australia and the USA and this X-Road GR is their gravel offering.
In reality - its an endurance road bike with clearance for 40mm tyres and as such is at home on a mix of road and fast gravel surfaces. In this Episode, Tristan finds out how it performs on the gravel of Beechworth and in the urban Melbourne environment and discovers whether this is a bike worthy of your hard earned.

On Sunday the 26th of Feb, I had the pleasure to head down to Forrest in Victoria's Otway Ranges to race the Great Otway Gravel Grind.
I had a great day out on the bike and met some fantastic people - I managed to capture some of those chats and cut them together to try and bring you a bit of the flavour of the big day.

James is a long-time cyclist who got into the gravel scene earlier than most. He’s based up on the central coast in NSW, but has ridden bikes all over the country. He founded Graveleur and is now running The Overlander - a specialty gravel-focussed bike shop in Wyong. He’s also an ambassador for Rapha Australia, Klite Dynamo power lighting and skingrowsback performance bike carry equipment. Most importantly, he has a passion for the gravel community and gravel cycling culture.

Run in conjunction with the famous Otway Odyssey Marathon Mountain bike race and starting and finishing in the tiny township of Forrest in the heart of the Otway Ranges, the GOGG offers riders the option of 97km or 49km courses.
