Or will Canada finally get the election so many have been demanding? Earlier this week we saw Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaking with authority in the face of the economic devastation facing Canadians. Many Canadians are saying that he was effective in standing up to Donald Trump. Will he use this crisis as an opportunity to cling to power? Or is the reality that Mark Carney will be our new Prime Minister next week - and we will be heading into an election. Brian Lilley is a Columnist with the Toronto Sun - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The Liberal leadership race has seen the number of party members swell from 100,000 to 400,000 in just a few weeks. First, it’s ridiculous that Justin has done away with the requirement to pay to become a member of the party. Second, how can it possibly vet all of these new members to make sure that dogs and cats have not been given Liberal memberships? Third, we know for a fact that foreign entities have been interfering with Canadian elections on all levels - aren’t the Liberals just asking for China or Russia to meddle in this campaign? Andrew Perez is with Perez Strategies - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

Fukushima, Chernobyl, and Three Mile Island - this is the refrain cited by people who are opposed to the wider application of Nuclear power. Environmentalists are worried about what to do with the waste. But we live in a world where the demand for power is going to far outweigh what can be provided by wind and hydro - and we already know that burning more fossil fuels is not a good solution either. Dean Baxendale is the President of Optimum Publishing - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

We are hearing rumblings that the NDP may not be as keen to take down the government as Jagmeet initially declared. The Liberal Leadership hopefuls are all doing an about- face on the core policies of the government (that many are currently a part of). When did Canadians decide it was okay to elect a bunch of hypocrites? John Capobianco is a bigshot Conservative, and Senior Vice President and Senior Partner with FleishmanHillard HighRoad - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss what must be done to restore faith in government.

The Liberal Leadership hopefuls have all done an about face to a decade of Liberal policy. How can anyone believe that they are willing to turn their backs on what has been the core of the government policies for a decade (they were bad policies). And, is Mark Carney getting attention because he’s a fresh face? And is this similar to 2015 where Canadians elected a PM because he has ‘nice hair’? Andrew Enns is the Executive Vice President at Leger Polling - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau prorogued Parliament just as chaos south of the border was unleashed on the world. But - This government has been doing nothing for months on end. Canadians deserve much better than this - Mr. Trudeau - it’s time to get Parliament back so we can call an election and get things working again.

Mark Carney has been quick to position himself as a political outsider - putting distance between himself and the wildly unpopular Trudeau Liberals. How has he managed to sell this narrative? A few months ago he was advising this government on economic policy … Andrew Perez is with Perez Strategies - he is convinced that Mark Carney is an outsider - and he tries to convince Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes that he is correct.

In the past decade (or longer) we have seen Canadians become more, and more divided. Justin Trudeau has certainly not done anything to bring Canadians together - frankly, neither has Pierre Poilievre - they seem far too interested in partisan rhetoric than being patriotic. But - with Donald Trump’s weekly, or bi-weekly threats to Canadian sovereignty something has shifted with Canadians. Andrew Enns is the Executive Vice President with Leger Polling - her joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

Justin Trudeau has decreed that Canadians must drive electric cars by 2035. Meanwhile - Canadians are starting to move away from electric cars that are wildly impractical in a country where many people need to drive long distances. Is this a case of urban liberal elitism? - Is it time for these elites to spend some time outside of Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal? Michael Nitefor is the President and CEO of Air Lab, Inc. - an engineering firm looking at ways to make more fuel efficient vehicles - he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

Canadians need to stop being so sanctimonious and smug about what is happening south of the border. Canada is long overdue for its own political reckoning - Donald Trump has immediately made an impact on government spending and waste - is there something that can be learned from these dramatic shifts in policy? And if we look at the character of the leaders we do elect - let’s remember that we have a Prime Minister that has done black face (literally) more times than he can remember. This is your Three Minutes today.

Allegations are rampant that Mexico is importing cheap goods from China - and rebranding them as “Made in Mexico” - to avoid paying tariffs or taxes. Is there a reason for them to do this? How hard would it be to pull this off? We are joined by trade expert Javier Mancera, a Partner with De La Calle Madrazo Mancera, to discuss this for Three Minutes.

Since the last time we had Andrew Enns, Executive Vice President of Leger Polling drop by - things have changed dramatically. Justin Trudeau has announced his intention to resign - and Mark Carney and Chrystia Freeland have thrown their hats in the ring to replace him. And, it looks like some of what Mark Carney is doing may be resonating as the Liberals start to improve in the polls. He joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss what has happened for Three Minutes.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice,shame on me.
Are Canadians supposed to believe that people who have been in positions of authority are ready to abandon what they have been preaching and imposing for the last 9 years? Even Mark Carney who claims to be an outsider has been advising this awful Trudeau Government. Andrew Perez is a Political Strategist, and he joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes.

The dairy industry and the egg industry in Canada are run by cartels. This means that production is limited by bureaucratic quotas - instead of free market economics. These quotas are set to benefit farmers - instead of consumers. With the Trump tariffs looming on the horizon - could this change in Canada? Brian Lilley is a columnist with the Toronto Sun - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The Murray Report was released - but few paid any attention to it! One of the recommendations is that there be a twenty year investigation into what happened at Residential Schools. Does this recommendation have any credibility? Will an investigation like that accomplish anything? Or has our woke Prime Minister already decided on the narrative. Karen Restoule is an Indigenous Woman - and she is with Crestview Strategies - she joins Stephen LeDrew to discuss this for Three Minutes

Canada is up to its eyes in debt - and the Trudeau Liberals have no regard for the impact this might have on the future of Canada. During their tenure they have added more to the debt than any previous government. Canada is now spending more money on interest for this debt than on Healthcare. Jay Goldberg is with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation - he joins Stephen LeDrew for Three Minutes.

The Trudeau Liberals have made it so that you don’t need to pay for a membership. All you need to do is check a box on an online form, and —ZAP(as his father said in one election) Done! Canadians are now left with a Liberal party where the membership roster includes people’s dogs! What has become of this once great party? Dan McTeague is a former Liberal MP - he joins Michael Diamond, filling in for Stephen LeDrew, for Three Minutes.

Canadians are running around talking about how much they hate Donald Trump - why are people so preoccupied with a man who isn’t even our leader. Yes - the bi-weekly threats of tariffs and annexation are something to pay attention to - but when the dust settles … should we revere what Donald Trump has accomplished? He has done more to unify Canada in one month than Justin Trudeau has accomplished in 9 years! Hail to the Chief!
