Coming back at ya with my review of the next two Outlander eps of the season! Crazy that we're already halfway there, and with a writers strike and impending SAG strike, who knows how long the next Droughtlander will be (sad face). But we still have half the season to go, and while this chunk was a lot of exposition, there were some golden nuggets in there too. Plus, it wouldn't be me without a Roger/Bree rant at some point during the pod.

Episode 1 was...there. Episode 2 on the other hand!! We are off to a very strong start to this season despite a clunky first ep. What did we learn from these first two episodes? WRITING MATTERS. It is the foundation that keeps the house standing. Hopefully the rest of the season lives up to that second episode but I'm not elevating my expectations too high, fam.

I went to the ATX TV Festival in Austin, TX and was 2 feet away from Caitriona Balfe! (insert Wayne's World gif "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!") The experience was incredible and beyond my wildest dreams, and I recap the whole crazy ride (Spoiler: it includes a police chase!) I also spend some time sifting through the absolute deluge of promo content we have gotten this week. There's some juicy developments regarding the breaking of story for Season 8. DROUGHTLANDER IS OVER B*TCHES!!!!
-
This episode is exactly what it says it is, a breakdown of the long-awaited Season 7 trailer (that they took their sweet time releasing)! The Jamie and Claire goodies abound in this one and I am honestly so hopeful for the new season. The end of Droughtlander is in sight, the fandom juices are flowing again, and the deluge of content from Starz is only just beginning. As always, strap in folks, this season's gonna be a bumpy ride.
-
As we slowly trudge through the last vestiges of Droughtlander, I take some time to catch up on some new fandom developments...namely, a premiere date. Yes this Droughtlander has been long and arduous, but we are in the home stretch, people. I get a little ranty, so don't hate me for it, but I have some opinions that not everyone will agree with. All ready for the new season say "Aye!"
-
Can you tell how excited I am?!! The announcement that Season 8 is happening (albeit the final season) is such good news I could cry. After a short hiatus (and a slight rebrand of the pod) I'm back to discuss initial reactions to the news, how this affects the story going forward, and general fandom response. All good things must come to an end, but it is such a relief to know Outlander's ending is in good hands and is at least 2 years away.
-
Right in the thick of Droughtlander, I'm coming atcha with some more thoughts on Season 6 after some time has passed. A good majority of this episode I talk about our current prospects on getting a Season 8 and what is happening on the Outlander news front. You don't want to miss this supersized episode. Apparently I had a lot of thoughts to get out (lol).
-
It's been a minute, huh? Join me as I wrap up this all-too-short season of Outlander that honestly felt like a flash in the pan. I talk eps 7 and 8 and my thoughts on the season as a whole: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hopefully we get some news coming on the series end front soon. Back into Droughtlander we go, folks.
-
More interesting news about subsequent seasons of Outlander...I'm ready for them to figure it out and put us out of our misery already! Also, I do a post-mortem (?) analysis of that controversial 6th episode - with some very enlightening insights. Because of this, some scenes I am able to accept now and some are even more infuriating. Take a listen!
-
Sorry to burst the bubble but this was not my fave episode, possibly because I had such high aspirations for the material. BUT nonetheless it was still an episode of Outlander and one that had stellar moments along with a few not so stellar moments. Join me as I discuss the ups and downs this whopper of an episode took us all on.
-
We are deep into the season now and still dealing with PTSD, major historical events, and...Stephen Bonnett? Also, some interesting news on the subsequent seasons front. Hopefully we get answers soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
-
I review the 4th episode of Outlander Season 6, which predominantly focuses on Ian with a couple cute Jamie and Claire scenes thrown in. How are we already halfway done?! I also touch very briefly on the fiasco that was the 2022 Oscars.
-
I delve into the 3rd episode of Season 6, "Temperance". Topics discussed include Claire's continuing PTSD storyline, Fergus/Marsali, Tom Christie's hand surgery, and several other topics. I also discuss what, for me, makes a good episode. One more episode and the season is half-way over!
-
Part 1 of this episode is my review of the 2nd episode of Season 6. Wait...you mean we get one every week now?! Then, I proceed to eat my words due to a very interesting article released this week in which Maril Davis discussed the end of Outlander. I also break down the remaining story arcs possible in a world in which the story is finished out with a Season 8. Strap in, this is a long one.
-
DROUGHTLANDER IS OFFICIALLY OVER!!! I review the premiere of Season 6 and discuss the myriad of plot points that were introduced in the first new episode of Outlander in 2 years. If this premiere is any indication, this season will be PACKED. Strap in folks, we're in for a bumpy ride.
-
I promise, this is not as depressing of an episode as it sounds. In this episode I present the evidence that seems to clearly point to Outlander ending after 7 seasons. I speculate on how this might play out in terms of story breakdown, and try to shed some light on how these decisions get made. All good things must come to an end!
-
This episode covers the Outlander Season 6 Red Carpet event. Yes, I was lucky enough to score a ticket to the "virtual event". No, I will not be discussing Episode 1 or any part of the Q&A that followed until after March 6th (I value my life and don't want Starz to come after me). I also talk at length about my not-so-secret dismay at Caitriona not being at the premiere, and the symbiosis between fandom and the people who create shows fans love.
-
I discuss the recent Oscar nominations, my hopes for winners, and notable snubs. Yes there is a rant (or two) in this one. I also talk about the new season of Outlander coming up and the frankly abysmal promotion we've received as of late (no hate though, just frustrated).
-
This week, I discuss Oscar-contender movies and the performances that impressed me this year as we look ahead to nominations being announced on Tuesday. Movies discussed include Belfast, West Side Story, Spencer, The Power of the Dog, and many others. Spoilers abound!
-
Join me as I do a frame-by-frame analysis of the new Outlander Season 6 trailer! Geez, took them long enough. It features lots of Jamie and Claire (yay!), the Christies (boo!), and general goings-on at Fraser’s Ridge. I discuss possible storylines, so be aware, spoilers abound.
