Khristel Khalil has been an actress on The Young and The Restless for 15 years. But she's so much more. She's a mother, a hopeful healer and spiritual go-getter.
We sit down to talk astrology (of course) and quickly find ourselves in talks of Shakra's, demons, religious fundamentalism and ayuhuasca - Whoa.
Listen in. Don't miss out.

When I met Katy, I asked her secret "dream career" was. Her response, "I'm doing it."
Katy is a nurse. Thats not what she always wanted to be though. She played basketball and then she was passionate about the environment. Then after a series of occurrences in the hospital (family members, not her), she realized, rather suddenly, that she wanted to be a nurse. She wanted to help people, directly.
I talk with Katy about her story and how her "secret career" fell suddenly into her lap.

I’m back!
I have a whole host of great interviews recorded and waiting for your earholes. But first, I wanted to discuss something that’s been in my mind for quite some time: Duality.
Do we force each other to be on single thing when we know instinctively that we are a complicated mass of ideas that can’t be singularly summarized? Yes. The answer is yes. So, why do we do that to each other? Why do we do that to ourselves!?
Before I jump into season 2, I mull this one around and you get to listen to it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Welcome (back) to The Power of Ideas.

This episode is the season finale!
Well, technically, this is simply the end of what I have deemed the pilot season. I'm re-tooling, revamping and re-editing all of my episodes and I will be back in a month for the "official" launch of The Power of Ideas.
In todays Episode, I tell a story about when I think I first saw the signs of change towards this tumultuous time we live in. I recap what worked and what didn't in the last 10 episodes and I lay down a challenge for the next month.
-
In this Episode, I lay out some of my insights about what story means. Is it just a novelty? Do we just tell stories for the laughs, for escape or is there something deeper?
I talk about my graduate research a little bit and give some recommentdations on who you should check out if you are interested in understanding what story is all about.

Robin is an astrologer who I happened upon early in my search for someone to do my first chart reading. Since, she's become my penpal, sensei of sorts and simply a friend.
Her knowledge of Astrology is deep and her perspective on life is unique. I enjoy listening to Robin and that is very apparent as we talk.
Listen in as we talk about if astrology is a science, why China believes in magic, why Uranus in Taurus is a big deal what Robin is up to next.

This is an episode for those who need to get a little better acquainted with astrology. While this podcast is not totally about astrology. I do use it as a tool to facilitate the conversations. Further, I use language that may sometimes not be common for people not familiar with it. So, this is a little cheat cheat and discussion about astrology, why I love it, am learning it and some language for you beginners out there.

The introduction! I talk about the first time I ever went to the movies. I explain a bit more of what this whole podcast is about and I interview myself and, well, it gets weird.
But by the end, I think you'll get the idea of what I'm trying to do here.
