This week, we're featuring a replay episode in loving memory of Leanna Maksymiuk.
I interviewed Leanna at the end of 2021 and she was one of those guests that I instantly connected with. The joy and light in her voice when she spoke about the love she had for her family, animals, and land is why I do what I do. Staying connected with her over the last few years and watching her grow was an honour and privilege.
Hearing of her passing in July was shocking and heartbreaking. Replaying her episode is my way of keeping her memory alive and allowing listeners, and loved ones, to keep sharing Leanna's story.
We have linked the GoFundMe link started by a family friend in the show notes. If you're able to contribute please do.

Courtney is a wife, mom of 3, plant nursery owner, and flower farmer! Courtney and her husband, Andrew moved to small town, rural Arkansas shortly after getting married 10 years ago to follow their farming dreams!

They knew God had more in store and took another leap of faith when they sold their beloved farm and bought a 40+ year old plant nursery. They converted the old barn into their shop and home and turned the unused land into a u-cut flower farm. While they will always have farm animals, floriculture has opened up a new world of farming for them, flower farming!

On this week's episode of The Rural Woman Podcast™, join me for a special, solo show to celebrate the stories being shared on The Rural Woman Podcast. For this episode, we are talking about Resilience and rural women.
The last solo episode I recorded was 100 episodes ago on the show, and it was about the things that I had learned from rural women from the first 100 episodes. Well, now that we're at 200 episodes, I've learned a whole lot more, but the one topic I want to focus on today is resilience, because I know there are a lot of feelings that come up when we hear the word resilience.
