On this week's episode of The Rural Woman Podcast™, you'll meet Kim Ross.
Kim is a fifth generation farm girl with a 130,000 sq ft no till garden. Kim sells the vegetables she grows using sustainable agriculture practices to food producers and consumers alike. She focuses on growing with the ecosystem so her growing plots do not need to be watered and there is very little pressure from weeds. This minimizes the physical inputs that growing food typically involves so her vegetables are highly competitive in a challenging marketplace.
She is a master photographer, master gardener and a Prairie Horticulture Certificate graduate in both the fruit/veggie and greenhouse streams.

This week, we're featuring a replay episode in loving memory of Leanna Maksymiuk.
I interviewed Leanna at the end of 2021 and she was one of those guests that I instantly connected with. The joy and light in her voice when she spoke about the love she had for her family, animals, and land is why I do what I do. Staying connected with her over the last few years and watching her grow was an honour and privilege.
Hearing of her passing in July was shocking and heartbreaking. Replaying her episode is my way of keeping her memory alive and allowing listeners, and loved ones, to keep sharing Leanna's story.
We have linked the GoFundMe link started by a family friend in the show notes. If you're able to contribute please do.
