David is a former Criminal Barrister with over 20 year’s experience and a 3rd Degree Black Belt, who now runs a successful martial arts academy in London. He has worked on such cases as the Victoria Climbie case which brought about major changes to child protection policies in the UK and the News International – “phone hacking” case which employees of the now defunct News of The World (after 168 years in business) were accused of engaging in phone hacking, police bribery, and exercising improper influence in the pursuit of stories. His pursuit and intensity for the martial arts has been on par with his pursuit to find the truth in a court of law.

Winston Gordon represented Great Britain in 3 x Olympics and 4 European Championships. We discuss about his time at the Olympics, formidable opponents, upbringing in London whilst discovering Judo. We are joined by 2 surprise guest, renowned Coach Paul Ajala and Kerrith Brown Former Chairman of the British Judo Association and current President of IMMAF. The conversation then also moves onto the development of Judo in the UK, what can be done to get it up to the heights it once was.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of British Judoka and 2005 World Champion Craig Fallon, who sadly passed away at the age of 36 on 15 July 2019.

She started in JiuJitsu in San Fransico at Ralph Gracies with Kurt Osiander and got promoted to blue belt, moved to Chicago, spent time in New York before moving to Hong Kong.
