In Episode 023, Reine and Tracy continue their made from scratch conversation, this time focusing on creating household and personal use products. They also talk about recent business challenges, exciting accomplishments, and what's next on the never-ending list of things to do.
-
In Episode 022, Reine and Tracy talk about getting back to basics, kitchen-style.
It's no secret that family meals are an area that The What If Pals have identified as needing some serious attention in their lives. Like so many moms, the demands of the day often result in a menu revolving around pre-packaged foodstuffs or dinner on-the-go, purchased through a drive-thru window.
While those options are fine on occasion, Reine and Tracy agree that they have become much too reliant on fast food as a solution to that eternal question, "What's for dinner?" The consequences of that reliance have been noted in their energy levels, waistbands, and pocket books, and they're ready to get intentional about making a change.
Listen in as they chat about how cooking from scratch not only addresses these immediate needs, but also how it checks other value boxes such as sustainability, general preparedness, and slow living.

You get a front-row seat to their first-hand knowledge on the topic, along with projections and predictions as to the ease and success of the module.

In Episode 019, Reine and Tracy discuss how they've each approached the intentional spending module. They discuss their individual methods, admit that it's been a bit of a challenge in more ways than one, and chat about how they've worked to meet and beat those obstacles.
Then, it's on to everyone's favorite topic - taxes! Despite the fact that The What If Project is not yet turning a profit, there is still red tape and intentionally confusing IRS worksheets to be had. Even though they're currently in the red, the goal is to one day make money through The What If Project business arm. With that in mind, Tracy walks us through her current idea of what the next product idea should be. Of course, that idea still requires an audience who may be interested, so the biz dev segment wraps up with some ideas on how to authentically network and build both participant and peer relationships.
Reine and Tracy wrap up Episode 019 with a reminder of WHY they've chosen to do things like declutter and review their spending habits as they work toward creating a self-reliant and sustainable lifestyle for themselves and their families. The work isn't always fun or photogenic, but the skills required to live a self-directed life are worth the effort!
-
In Episode 018, Reine and Tracy begin the task of determining exactly where their "extra" money gets spent every month. Listen in as they discuss the lure of convenience spending as a "easy" answer to many of life's challenges, why they feel guilty whether they do or they don't give in to those quick purchases, and how they think their families will respond to a less impulsive lifestyle.
-
In Episode 017, Tracy and Reine review Week 1 of The What If Project's "Declutter Module". The gal pals are getting down to business as they tackling the clutter and create a few strategies. Listen in to see what challenges they have faced, what ridiculousness they have discovered in the process, and what they are looking forward to the most in the coming week. Episode 015 starts as a continuation of the business development discussion from episode 014, but quickly turns into a conversation that deserves its own space.
The What If Project is an experiment in creating a comprehensive lifestyle, one that's built on learning and experiencing new skills and building a passive income-focused business through effectively sharing those skills. Reine and Tracy have spent months working on the 'how to' details while continuing to sense that there was one component that was still not-quite-right.
In Episode 015, Serving Joy, Tracy and Reine talk about the work they've done to identify and understand that vital component. They explain how and why they've come to this point in the journey as well as what this means moving forward in The What If Project.
This episode contains inspirational and motivational content.

In Episode 014, Reine and Tracy confess to some less-than-optimal work-from-home habits, share some strategies that make remote work a bit more manageable, and discuss how working from home benefits everyone involved. If you are a remote employee, this episode is a must.

In Episode 013, Reine and Tracy reveal more details about their new module method for learning and sharing content. Episode 013 is the first week of module number two and on the front side of things, this one is all about working from home: tips, methods, best practices, lessons learned, challenges, boundaries, balance, etc. Things are a bit more complex behind the scenes though as these two passive income lifestyle pursuers will also be working on some overdue social media optimization research. The 'how to' details involved with this dual work module require a bit of problem-solving and process clarification, which The What If Pals accomplish as part of this episode.
