Let us give thanks for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
There’s so much to give thanks for after a busy 2024: Magalomaniacs were removed from WWE; stories were effectively told after unfortunate accidents; and tons of stars truly came into their own.
But before we get to all that… who brought the best food for everyone to enjoy at the table this week?
The Three Count:
Danielle put over WWE x Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Julian put over the new home for wrestling conversation.
Hal put over the Usos sharing a moment.

Step into the Gobbeldy-verse on a brand new bonus Tights and Fights!
The Gobbeldy Gooker was one of the worst things Vince McMahon ever conceived.
It was famed wrestler Hector Guerrero in a turkey costume that hatched from an egg at Survivor Series 1990 after months of build up.
It was maintained as a sort of inside joke for WWE fans for years. But now that we’re in the post-Vince era, it seems to be put to rest. Hopefully.

Producer Julian Burrell has collected three of the best segments from the show’s archives for your enjoyment.
Misandry Corner
Danielle Radford leads the team to discuss some of the sexist history of wrestling’s past. In this inaugural edition of the segment, the spotlight is on WWE’s most sordid Diva’s moments: a water balloon wet T-Shirt contest. How terrible was this? And which men would we like to see recast in it?
My Special Wrestler
Comic Creator Box Brown joins the program to discuss one of the greatest heels of all time: Ravishing Rick Rude.
Ring Tones
Comedian Hannibal Buress joins the program to discuss the music of Triple H. This will include every phase of his career from his time as Hunter Hearst Healmsley to his joining DX to becoming the cerebral assassin to his modern day role as the WWE’s chief executive of talent relations.
Hosted by Julian Burrell, Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle.
Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

Wrestling is overtly incredibly fascinating as we’ve always known on Tights and Fights!
Alex Schmidt is one of the hosts of the MaxFun podcasts “Secretly Incredibly Fascinating.” Recently they had a podcast breaking down the history of wrestling as an actual competition. So naturally we had to invite him on to teach him about the flip side: Cut the kayfabe!
Main Event
On "Secretly Incredibly Fascinating,” Alex and his co-host Katie Schmidt broke down the history of Sumo wrestling. And one thing about sumo is that Vince McMahon would happily find a way to represent the competition in some really great and really awful ways.
The Three Count
Lindsey and Danielle put over Mick Foley endorsing Kamala Harris.
Julian put over Living United for Change in Arizona.
Hosted by Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk

We mourn Samantha Irvin’s departure from WWE on this episode of Tights and Fights!
She was set up to be an all-time great in the company. But now she’s off to pursue her dreams, to WWE’s detriment.
In another piece of news: The Intercontinental Title has seemingly been reduced to a prop in the Bloodline conflict. And the person who’s suffered is Bron Breakker. In good news, he’s now a two time IC champion. So hopefully this aligns itself despite everythingMain Event
The intersection of horror and wrestling is a long and storied one. James A. Janisse from the YouTube show “The Kill Count” discuss some of the biggest wrestlers that dipped into the macabre including The Boogeyman, Bray Wyatt, Papa Shango and more. Spin the wheel, make the deal!
The Three Count
Lindsey put over the Damian and Kayden.
Danielle put over The Studline fashion choices.
Hal put over Lin Manuel Miranda being a total mark.

Farewell, sweet American Dragon. We celebrate you on this episode of Tights and Fights!
After a brief detour into the Kelce bros. Cereal (Hey, Jason was at WrestleMania, this counts!) We salute the full-time retirement of Bryan Danielson.
Then, we revisit a bit of episode 365, where we were joined by Janet Varney. Together, we listened to all of The American Dragon’s entrance music from over the years in our beloved Ring Tones segment.
The Three Count
Lindsey put over the ladies of RAW dominating the run-time.
Julian put over Joe Hendry competing for Eurovision.
Hal put over couples wrestling.

Let there be blood and let it be less than good on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have wrapped up the final match in their rivalry that began in January. And what a way to close it out, with one of the best Hell in a Cell matches in recent memory.
But that leaves us with the time of year when WWE feels the most messy: Bron Breakker can’t settle on whether he’s a heel or a face, we’re back to one women’s match on RAW, the Saudi show is on the horizon… and we only have two hours every Monday to get it all sorted!
The Three Count
Danielle put over Punk’s upcoming triple threat.
Lindsey put over polite Solo .
Hal put over The creators of the Cosco-verse.

We lay claim to the title of hoss bosses on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
But before we can dive into that tantalizing main event: Is WWE moving too fast with its push of Bron Breakker after his apparent face turn on RAW?
And speaking of babyfaces, is it time for Naomi, Jade and Bianca to embrace the dark side? Or at least two out of the three of them?
The Main Event: Big Boi SZN
After Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed had a Last Monster Standing match, we're going to celebrate some of our favorite wrestling HOSSES of all time. Plus we’ll decide how to classify the big men and women of wrestling into the categories of Hoss/She-Hoss, big guys, attractions, and who works across multiple planes.
The Three Count
Danielle put over Toni Storm’s love affair.
Lindsey put over John Cena on the Simpsons.
Hal put over CM Punk mastering call backs.
Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk
Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

Our dreams are finally coming true in a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
We’ve joked about the idea of Dominik Mysterio on a pole for over a year. And now we get Dom Dom in a cage suspended over the ring for Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan. Might that be even better?
Plus Jey Uso has won his first ever solo title in WWE. So was this a great moment to give a crowd favorite who was overdue for gold? Or was it cutting Bron Breakker’s momentum off before he could really get going? We discuss.
YEET!
The Main Event: Mr. McMahon
Netflix's documentary on Vince McMahon is streaming now. It features interviews from the man himself along with other WWE stars. And if Vince's statement is any indication you can expect a not-too-flattering look at wrestling's most influential monster.
Special thanks to Netflix for providing us with screeners.
The Three Count
Danielle put over Rhea feeling the yeet.
Lindsey put over Pancho 3:16.
Hal put over Bret Hart kicking a man in the Shnutz.

Just one week removed from three dudes we’re turning the corner for TWO DUDETTES on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Roman Reigns will have his first match in months at the Bad Blood PLE, this time teaming with Cody Rhodes against his rogue family, the New Bloodline. Lindsey and Danielle will explain why they’re prepared for Roman to lose.
And has WWE finally figured out how to make Braun Strowman interesting again? This feud with Big Bronson Reed could get us there!
All that… and Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair was a fun time. Because of course it was!
The Main Event: Hell in a Cell Renaissance
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will cap off their rivalry in one of Triple H’s favorite matches: Hell in a Cell. For years it was the ultimate final match in an intense feud before Vince decided the match needed to be its own PPV no matter what feud actually deserved it. But now that Vince is out and Hunter is in that is finally changing.
The Three Count
Danielle put over Megan Thee Stallion making fans cranky.
Lindsey put over Damian Priests 24.

Dimitry Pompée from the wonderful podcast “Eurovangelists” and producer Julian Burrell join Hal for the rare THREE DUDES episode of Tights and Fights!
It’s a big time for change in WWE… Smackdown has moved to USA Network. And perhaps even more intriguing… RAW may move to two hours soon.
This is all happening as the card for Bad Blood on Peacock is being filled out with the finale of the Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk, Gunther vs. Sami Zayn 2 for the World Heavyweight Championship and Jey Usos competing for the Intercontinental Championship.
The Main Event: ALL RISE… FOR THE JUDGMENT DAY!
In 2022 Edge debuted a new look that helped launch his new faction The Judgment Day. Since then the group has added members, kicked out others and raised the profile of everyone in purple and black.
The Three Count
Julian put over R-Truth NSFW (really).
Dimitry put over Joe Hendry on Eurovision???.

Tap those lights for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Bash in Berlin was a fun show that gave us a lot to love. Gunther and Cody Rhodes expectantly retained their championships, but in a way that still gave us a lot to chew on for their futures.
Despite seemingly convoluted rules on paper, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre turned in a really fun strap match with a fun twist that we hope is replicated.
And one sore subject persists: with Jade and Bianca once again winning the tag team titles, is there any hope that that division will eventually be reoriented?
The Three Count
Danielle put over Terror Twin Nuggiez.
Lindsey put over Sons of El Rey by Alex Espinoza.
Hal put over Cat Dad Steve Austin.

This episode of Tights and Fights is part of a long and proud legacy of wrestling podcasts.
It’s Bash in Berlin weekend! The first WWE event live from Germany already has a fantastic Main Event lined up with Gunther vs. Randy Orton. So how do we feel about humble and “grateful for his long career” Randy? Not great!
In addition to breaking down the other matches on the card, we’ll discuss what’s becoming a trend in the Triple H era: 5 match cards for the PLEs. Is it a move for the best or are there too many missing elements on the shows nowadays?
The Main Event: Nepobabies, we make our dreams come true
Wrestling is the only place where Nepo Baby is a badge of honor. You can even call them a "second/third generation superstar" if you're feelin' nasty. And now that we're in our family wars era of WWE, we thought we'd take a look at some of our favorite legacy stars from over the years.
The Three Count
Danielle put over ASMR- the Montreal Screwjob.
Lindsey put over The Tsunami to end all Tsunamis.
Hal put over The death of Psycho Sid Vicious.
Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Julian Burrell.
Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

All episodes of Tights and Fights are streaming now– including this one!
Roman Reigns briefly regained the most sought after jewelry in all of wrestling (narrowly surpassing CM Punk’s bracelet); but he was quickly taken out by Solo Sikoa’s crew. But let’s get to the real point: Would our cousins oust us from the family in the name of power?
Plus, The Unholy Union retained the women’s tag team championships– but is this a good sign of the women’s tag titles becoming a true marquee item in the company?
The Main Event: RAW on Netflix
When RAW moves to Netflix, it will be the most significant step away from traditional broadcasting in WWE. There have been so many steps along the way for WWE from YouTube to Hulu, to the Network to Peacock,
The Three Count
Danielle put over Ronda’s AMA gone wrong (or right).

It’s an almighty episode of Tights and Fights!
WWE has struggled to establish women’s tag titles as a true attraction. Now they’re having a tournament for the number one contendership with several promising teams in the mix. But will any of them be able to solve the larger problems that have prevented women’s tag teams from reaching new heights?
Plus, while a feud with Randy Orton can doom a young champion, we’ll explain why we’re actually really excited for his match against Gunther.
And with John Cena’s retirement looming large we speculate about how he could put over a lot of great young talent… and still win that elusive 17th world championship.
The Main Event: Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley has been successful both at the tail end of the Ruthless Aggression era and in the modern era. A multiple time champion in WWE and TNA who even had time to fight in MMA for a few years. Now he supposedly plans to leave WWE so who knows what the future may hold.
The Three Count
Danielle put over No Hard Feelings about wrestling.
Lindsey put over Jesse Ventura being extra vocal about dummies.

Get ready to slam your Summer on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Hal, Danielle and Lindsey breakdown SummerSlam 2024. It’s WWE’s biggest event of the season and there was SO much that happened!
There were four(!!!!) title changes at the event, which are all agreed to be for the best. So what’s next for the new champions?
The Judgment Day went through radical changes, sending Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley out on their own. Regarding Damian, maybe this new direction is exactly what he needs after a middling championship run.
And that’s not even to say that Roman Reigns is back! There’s no doubt that the shows are better when he’s around, so now we get to see him try to clean up his family drama.
The Three Count
Danielle put over Bayley representing the next generation.
Lindsey put over 10 things Cody has.
Hal put over Seth Rollins ref vision.

Take your place at the podium for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Hal, Danielle and Lindsey tackle a question raised by Chris Jericho earlier this week: Could pro-wrestling be an Olympic sport? And upon what criteria would it be judged? And who would be the ultimate voice of judgment? Let’s fantasy book the Olympics!
Plus: One final look at Summerslam, which is thankfully this weekend so we can at last move on to other wrestling shows.
The Main Event
It's the Summer Olympics as we record this and there have been a number of competitors who went on to perform for the WWE. There's Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Bad News Brown and more.
Today we're going to focus on Chad Gable! He last competed in 2012 Olympic Games and these days is locked in battle with the Wyatt Sick6.
The Three Count
Danielle put over a private meeting between the boy kings of wrestling.
Lindsey put over Peloton marks.

We have a week of reunions and debuts on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Danielle, Hal and Lindsey are back together again, just in time for the final push into SummerSlam.
No other group in wrestling has captured our hearts this week quite like Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler aka “The Studline.” Sure they may never actually be called that on camera, but they forever will be in our hearts.
And we’re torn between believing the Liv/Dom/Rhea story could be something that ends in a really cool and exciting new direction for everyone in the Judgment Day… or it could be falling into the same boring tropes that we always dread. Hold onto hope!
And hark! Does the Tribal Chief cometh in just a few weeks?
The Main Event
Alison Brie is an actor who’s most recently appeared in Peacock’s “Apples Never Fall.” And wrestling fans know her as the star of Netflix’s “GLOW.” The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling brought a lot of new eyes to wrestling. Unfortunately the show was never given a proper conclusion. But it still lives on in the hearts of fans… including us!
We talk to Alison about the GLOW fanbase, what it was like to learn how to wrestle, whether or not WWE ever talked with her about getting in the ring and more.
The Three Count
Danielle put over the belief in Joe Hendry.
Lindsey put over Cathy Kelly being a gift.
Hal put over Kevin Owens' great advice.
Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk.
Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.

We finally have a triumphant return on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Lindsey Kelk at last returns from the UK and an extensive book tour. Though it was full of trials and tribulations, it was a glorious time; mainly because she got to interact with some wonderful members of the Nation of Conversation at every step of the way.
We’ll also get her opinions on some of the biggest stories leading up to SummerSlam (which is perilously close!). We’ve got Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk, Damien Priest vs. Gunther, Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan and so much more!
The Three Count
Julian Burrell put over Big E percolating.
Lindsey put over the Nation of conversation making their presence known on the book tour!
Hal put over Hendry No. 5.

Briefcases a-plenty on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!
Danielle and Julian join forces to discuss what may be the greatest women’s briefcase ladder match yet.
The men’s title match was a little less amazing but, there was still a lot to break down here: Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk is as hot as it could possibly be. And while there are some downsides to Drew immediately failing his cash-in, we’ll explain one reason why this may be a positive.
Plus: Rhea Ripley is back! And everyone from Damian, Liv, Dominik and all of RAW benefits from her presence.
Finally, with nary a salmon colored clothing item in sight, John Cena has announced his retirement tour. We explain why this version of bowing out makes sense.
The Three Count
Julian Burrell put over Oba Femi and his future
Danielle put over Mansoor establishing his own ribbity raps.
Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Danny Tamberelli.
