How is one Virginia University creating new pathways of access to a four-year degree?
In this episode, we interview Sally Lorentson, Assistant Vice President for University Life at George Mason University. We learn about the ADVANCE program – an innovative partnership between Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University aimed at creating a streamlined and student centered transfer experience. We explore the critical role community colleges play as a gateway to a 4-year degree, using dialogue and participation to bring together disparate perspectives while creating allies, and dismantling antiquated systems to rebuild them in a more inclusive, student experience centered way.
