As we approach the end of the year, our celebration of hip hop is slowly winding down. This week’s episode centers around the eccentric duo Outkast! Hailing from Atlanta, Outkast helped pioneer an alternative hip hop sound that has remained prevalent throughout the South. Throughout the mix we’ll delve into Outkast's groundbreaking influence, and explore their evolution from the Southern hip hop scene to global recognition. You’ll also hear from a variety of other Southern legends and younger artists who drew inspiration from them!

Although the official birthday of Hip-Hop has passed, we will continue to showcase various artists, producers, and regions throughout the rest of the year.In this week’s episode, we featured the enigmatic Kendrick Lamar! Although Kendrick has been more reclusive over the years, his body of work has remained an open book, connecting with listeners around the world. Kendrick has continued to elevate his artistry to new heights, evolving with each project and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of his craft. It’s been a blessing to witness Kendrick’s creative journey, but the most exciting part is that we have no idea what to expect from him in the future. In addition to Kendrick, this week’s episode will feature appearances by some of his former label mates, as well as West Coast artists & legends!

Long time no drop! This week’s episode is dedicated to a legend gone too soon, Mac Miller! It was a blessing to watch Mac evolve from his early mixtapes days, rapping with the best of his peers, to a full fledged musician who was really starting to tap into his skills as a producer & writer. However, beyond his artistry, Mac truly seemed like a genuinely humble & kind person who cared about making sure that everyone around him felt welcomed. We can all help carryon his legacy by always showing a willingness to step outside our comfort zone, and fearlessly head down the path of personal growth. LONG LIVE MAC!We hope you enjoy this week’s episode, throughout the show you will also hear new music from Kaytranada & Aminé, Janelle Monáe, Don Toliver, Daniel Caesar, + many more!

We are a little late to Coachella, but for this week's episode we curated a mix featuring some of our favorite artists. So please take a seat on the ice cold lawn and enjoy!

Despite the threat of a looming recession, nuclear war, and oh yeah…ALIENS, we start this week’s episode off with NxWorries and Anderson Paak’s promise to make things better! Smino is taking nx L’s, Nas has nx where to go, and Kenny Mason adapts to his mAAd city with nx god. Staying in New York for our The Only Constant is Hip-Hop segment, we featured A Tribe Called Quest. Much like Nas Tribe’s sound is not only representative of New York, it encapsulates a nostalgic feeling of 90s hip hop! We hope you all are staying warm and enjoy our latest episode, much love!

The only constant in life is change, and throughout the years of Hip-Hop we have continued to see the genre grow and blossom into its most magnificent, diverse form. 2023 marks 50 years for Hip-Hop, and to celebrate this milestone, throughout the year we will be featuring various artists, producers, and regions in a segment called The Only Constant is Hip-Hop. Considering Hip-Hop was birthed in New York, we felt there was no better artist to kick off our celebration with than Mr. Nasty Nas himself. Of course there are Hip-Hop legends that predate Nas, but to a group of Millennials who weren’t outsideee from the beginning, Nas’ style and sound have always felt quintessentially New York!
Not a lot of music dropped over the last month, but in this week’s episode we get into more cuts from SZA’s latest album, a dope cover from LAYA, as well as some artists who we feel will have a huge 2023. Jordan Ward is the latest feature in our Trust The Sound segment!
-
So much good music was released in 2022, this week’s episode is a curation of some of our favorites! Even though we received album drops from cemented legends this year, 2022 truly belonged to Bad Bunny. Whether you were at a club, restaurant, or passing a car blasting his music, you truly couldn’t escape his sound. This was also a year where we saw established hip hop and r&b artists move into the forbidden electronic music space, but who cares about genres anyways? SZA dropped another classic, “Kendrick made you think about it, but he is not your savior”, and Pusha T showed yet again hip hop is aging gracefully. OH! And Kanye lived long enough to see himself become the villain (SHAME...SHAME...SHAME).
As always thank you for the love and support. All your streams and downloads are much appreciated! See you in 2023!

We are a little late, but first and foremost RIP to Takeoff! We start this week’s episode with a small tribute to a young king gone too soon. Migos proved to be disruptors of Hip-Hop, and despite how much they accomplished so far, it’s a shame that we won’t be able to see them reach their full potential as a trio.
This week’s episode also features new music from Smino, Drake & 21, SZA, and NxWorries. Puerto Rican producer Tainy is featured in our TRUST THE SOUND segment. Simply put, Tainy is a hit maker that has worked with the likes of Bad Bunny, Cardi B, Rosalia, and Miguel! Sorry for the wait, hope you enjoy this episode.

We kick this week’s episode off with two 2021 classics from Chiiild and Unusual Demont. We also feature new music from Mannywellz, Ckay, Protoje, and P-Lo. Raised in Nashville but currently based in LA, Sherwyn is featured in this week’s TRUST THE SOUND segment, plus much more!
