North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has vetoed a bill that bans the State from instituting a US Federal Reserve-issued central bank digital currency or CBDC. The Governor faced some criticism for his veto as House Bill 690 passed with a 109-4 vote in the House and a 39-5 vote in the Senate last month.
