Genstart er taget til Grønland. En advokat, en taxachauffør og en kunsthåndværker i Nuuk udgør nogle af de stemmer, der sætter ord på forholdet mellem Grønland og Danmark. En kompliceret relation, der går 300 år tilbage i tiden, og som både rummer mørke kapitler om tvang og overgreb, men også venskab og kærlighed. Rigsfællesskabet er i bevægelse - status quo er ikke en mulighed, har formanden for Naalakkersuisut, Grønlands regering, sagt. Så hvordan skal fremtidens forhold til Danmark se ud?

De træder ind på scenen, storsmilende og med knyttede næver, mens de er omgivet af maskerede Hamas-krigere. Til manges overraskelse ser de sunde og raske ud. De får en goodiebag af Hamas og så er de langt om længe frie til at tage hjem til Israel. I næsten 500 dage har de fire unge kvinder siddet som gidsler på hemmelige lokationer i det sønderbombede Gaza. Den 7. oktober var kvinderne udstationeret som værnepligtige ved grænsen til Gaza, og som de eneste indberettede de om en mistænkelig adfærd fra Hamas, men ingen overordnede tog deres advarsler seriøst. Siden krigens start har de fire gidsler stået som symbolet på den skyld Israel har følt siden terrorangrebet. Så hvad betyder det for landet og for krigen, at de fire kvinder nu er frie igen. Det fortæller Lasse Winther Jensen, journalist på Weekendavisen og bosat i Jerusalem.

"Danmark indsatte to hundeslæder for to uger siden og mente, at det var beskyttelse." Sarkasmen er til at tage at føle på. Ordene falder, da præsident Trump ombord på Air Force One endnu engang gentog, at Grønland nok skal komme på amerikanske hænder. Præsidenten nærmest hånede den danske indsats for at forsvare territoriet. Skiftende regeringer har ellers lovet ekstra penge og ekstra skibe, med kanoner, der rent faktisk kan affyres, til forsvaret af Grønland, men det virker som om, meget lidt er sket. I dagens Genstart fortæller forsvarskorrespondent Mads Korsager om et forsømt arktisk forsvar og om en forsvarsminister, der nu vil afsætte 14,6 milliarder kroner for at sikre, at selv de største isbjerge ikke kan vippe Arktis Kommando ud af kurs i fremtiden.
