Tjugotre år efter det misslyckade mordförsöket planeras igen ett mord på Mannerheim. År 1943 befinner sig Finland i kläm mellan Sovjet och Nazityskland. I Sovjet vill man underminera Finlands position genom att låta mörda Mannerheim. Två desanter åker till Finland för att utföra mordet.
