Lauren's guest today is Mandy and we are going to let her introduce herself.
"My name is Mandy Johnson Bryant and I have a fabulous husband Daniel and two wonderful boys, Jonah, age 13, and Jesse, age 10. Most days I appreciate how blessed I am but other days are hard. God gave me two godly, faithful men to share my life with. My first husband, James, passed away from a brain tumor called a glioblastoma multiforme in 2020. He was the father of my children who were 7 and 10 at the time. I was diagnosed 9 months later with de novo metastatic breast cancer. Both were a complete shock to all of us and have tested our faith and turned our lives upside down. Since that time, my husband. Daniel, proposed and married me and took on my 2 boys as his own. We live day to day, treatment to treatment, scan to scan, by our faith and by the grace of God. My sons pray for me multiple times a day and my husband lives in a constant state of hope. My cancer initially was metastatic to bone only but now has spread to other areas so I’m on a new regimen again. I have met so many woman younger than myself finding themselves on this scary journey of battling breast cancer along with their families and it both saddens me and empowers me. It saddens me when they lose their fight with cancer and suffer side effects of treatment; it empowers me to fight my own battle and to eventually, God willing, find a cure!!!"
