CW: Sexual assault, religious abuse, mentions of Mars Hill and other harmful churches, general trauma
We grabbed coffee (but not really cause it was hot af) with a pastor and it wasn't traumatizing! This week we had the opportunity to interview a local pastor, Donna Burkland, who is a queer disabled woman co-pastor from a new church plant in the Red Curtain of Orange County, California. Donna is a survivor of religious abuse and is an amazing advocate for individuals to deconstruct and decolonize their faith. Her church, Safe Harbor Orange County, exists as a place for individuals to rest, restore, belong and become within the safety of community. So come listen to her story and expect the general ridiculousness from your three favorite queer parents.

CW: spiritual abuse, cult, mentions of death, manipulation, mentions of sexual abuse, mentions of sexual abuse and sexualization of minors, mentions of grooming of minors
We are so incredibly thankful for smut fiction author and Tiktoker, Molly Tullis, for sharing her story with us. Molly is a pastor's kid of a former pastor of the Bethel Redding (think Bethel Music, Jesus Culture, etc.) cult. Molly experienced some deep trauma as a result of her cult upbringing but is now a writer of smut fiction, which seems to be a reclaiming of her purity culture upbringing. Molly is truly wonderful and her books are amazing!
So if you enjoy fiction, especially spicy fiction, buy her Romanov Oracle and Asphodel Series books!
Additional sections include talking about SCOTUS sucking ass and our new segment, Petty Silly Songs with Gabe.
To connect with Molly outside of her books, you can find her on Instagram and TikTok

This week we talk through the rapture and all of the trauma that goes along with it. Additionally, we had a couple of you submit your stories, so thank you so much! Listen to us talk through the history of this toxic idea, how it's affected culture, and what Revelation and apocalyptic literature actually were, historically.

CW// misogyny, abortion, racism, trauma, religion, politics, sexuality, sexual assault, purity culture
This week we were so happy to have our special guest, Jo Luehmann join us to talk through her journey, decolonization, antiracism, neuroscience, and how to make conservatives angry. She is so much smarter than us and we are more than okay with that.
In our news segment, we talk about Roe v. Wade and the Supreme Court's leaked draft. Bonnie shares a run-in with Kenneth. And lastly, Jake makes a statement about the state of all things. And it was disturbing but funny.

Happy late Easter or Eostre fam. We are sorry for not being as consistent. As you will hear in this episode, we are tired and we are busy. But we miss you all so much. So in this short episode, we talk about our Easter experiences including Rick Warren being an absolute idiot and Daniel almost getting sacrificed by a megachurch pastor in Northern California.
Next episode will be full-lengthed with a special guest!

Yuliia shares the history of the Ukraine-Russia war that started on February 24th, 2022, but has deep roots that start at least 100 years ago. CW: general spiritual abuse, mentions of the Bible
This week we got to interview Gavin Dees, who has been nicknamed "TikTok's Pastor." If you have not seen his videos, Gavin gained popularity on TikTok by posting videos of a "Millenial/Gen Z Church Service." We got to hear Gavin talk about his experience in the Christian Church, his journey through deconstruction, and life now as he begins to reconstruct and figure out what his faith or spirituality may look like. Gavin is an advocate for healing from spiritual trauma while also creating a safe space for individuals to heal.
For our news segment, we talk about Pastor Greg Locke's book burning as well John Cooper declaring war on Deconstruction Christians. We're not making this shit up. This shit happened.
Anyways, Kenneth is into NFTs and works with Bonnie, so HE'S BACK BABY.

TW: Pretty much every -ism, mentions of Trump, nationalism, genocide, misogyny, sexism, toxic masculinity, pretty much everything toxic about modern Christianity
We are officially back y'all! We have missed all of you, and have missed doing this crazy thing. We decided to start season 2 off with a bang. In this episode, we discuss Christian nationalism, a little over a year after the January 6th storm of Capital Hill. We bring in information from people who were at the D.C. riot, from Jesus and John Wayn by Katherine Kobes Du Mez, and a bunch of other stuff.
Our news segment quotes a lot from @the_decolonized_christian as we discuss the truckers in Canada and how they relate to Christian nationalism and the mass grave sites of Indigenous children across Canada.
We know y'all are wondering what Kenneth has been up to, but he's been quiet! However, Daniel had an unfortunate run-in with Kenneth's best theobros, Brody and Ben.
Finally, we end with our new segment, How Are You, Really?
Thank you so much for your support. We love all of you.

CW: evangelical theology/purity culture, original sin, toxic theology, mental health, and brief mentions of suicide, racial issues, and death
This week Bonnie and Jake are sadly out being good adults. So Daniel spends some time talking about a Facebook group he originally joined and why he hates Evangelicalism. He goes a bit into deconstruction and why people deconstruct (spoilers, The Gospel Coalition got it wrong).
Stay tuned for information on our Angsty Christmas Episode.

Gabe Gonzalez joins us as our first returning guest, while also being our first guest ever! We talk a little about Thanksgiving, colonization, and the importance of decolonization. But to be real, this episode is a giant shit show of insane craziness, but like in a good way. We talk in-depth about purity culture, cancel culture, and the ways they really fuck up our society.

CW: mention of conservative views on abortion, spiritual bypassing, overall spiritual trauma, mention of sacrifice
Happy Samhain, Halloween, All Hallow's Eve, All Saints' Eve, Reformation Day -- whatever you may call it, we hope that you celebrate it well. This week Bonnie and Daniel interview Delaney Reddell, a teacher of Celtic folklore in Los Angeles. Delaney has her MSc from the University of Edinburgh in Literature and Society: Enlightenment, Romanticism, and Victorian. She is also engaged to a dope guy in Ireland and will be moving there in a year, meaning she has spent a lot of time in the culture. Delaney walks us through how Samhain got us to Halloween and later to Harvest Festivals because hAlLoWeEn Is SaTaNiC and all of that stupidity.
Later we discuss a stupid article by the Gospel Coalition where a woman equates abortion to hiring a hit man (what?). Afterwards, Daniel shares a run-in with Pastor Bruce.

Come meet Bonnie, our newest co-host! She is arguable Christian and not arguable angsty, just like the rest of us. Bonnie dives into her own experience growing up at the church the three of them currently attend while wrestling with her own sexuality in the midst of a lot of heavy discussions. She talks about when she came out to her parents and how that experience wasn't the healthiest for her, but also how much her parents and her church have grown since then.
Become one of our patrons! We will start posting bonus content like an angsty D&D campaign, random things that we want to talk about, but also have opportunities to do hangs with the ACP crew. We are currently working on some dope angsty merch for our Patreon subscribers.
