  • It's been a while! And, that's for a reason.

After stepping back from the podcast for a few months, I promised myself I would come back when I truly felt the call. After my recent astrology training on Saturn, I knew it was time to talk again.

I talk a little bit about the intense whirlwind that the earlier half of 2021 has been at the beginning of this episode, just to remind you that we all face things that can feel insurmountable.

Then, we dive into all things Saturn (one of the most important aspects of your astrological chart).

    We cover:

What Saturn represents and rulesHow your greatest struggles early in life are meant to become your greatest giftsDeciphering what Saturn means in your chartThe meaning behind the sign and the house your Saturn is in What is a Saturn return and how it can impact your life

  • The world is changing because women and society's relationship with the feminine are changing. We're finally stepping into who we are—the sensitivity, intuitive nature and softness of the feminine is now coming back into balance.

If you've ever been called "too sensitive", soft or girly, this is your time.

In this episode, I share my story understanding my sensitivity and even talk about the moment I knew something was different about the way I walked through the world when I was 8 years old. With practical tips and anecdotes to help you feel less alone, this episode is for anyone who's ever struggled to understand why they feel anxious, different or like an outsider—and how to thrive instead.

The books I mentioned are Light is the New Black and Rise Sister Rise—both invaluable in helping feel your best and step into who you really are. You can also shop my ebook, Out of Your Head, Into Your Heart for more support around concepts that we discuss on Bright Side of the Moon.

  • I've discussed so many coping mechanisms for anxiety on Bright Side of the Moon before, but I've never addressed this issue head-on. This episode is long overdue and I'm proud that I'm at a place where I can share these things today.

As a child, I had crippling anxiety, and this issue hasn't exactly gone away entirely. People didn't know how to handle it in the 1990s and many still don't today. An issue I've struggled with my whole life, I've started to see the anxiety in a different light.

If you struggle with anxiety, I hope this story reminds you that you aren't alone, there is a way to feel better and there is nothing wrong with you if you worry more than you think you should. I also talk about the change in attitudes towards mental health issues—including the cultural impact of Britney Spears' struggle.

Just because you have anxiety doesn't mean you're unworthy, stupid or a bad person. Sometimes, it's just a part of you that needs your attention, your soothing and your unconditional love.

You are not alone if you worry about things big or small. I hope this helps you feel less alone and know that no matter what, the sun will rise again.

The reiki practitioner I mention who has helped me tremendously with this issue is Kristine Joy. You can book a session with her on her website.

  • Did you know that your energetic field expands up to ten feet during your period?

You're more sensitive during this time for a reason—you're much more closely connected to the greater picture. We have a lowered capacity to numb out and pretend like we don't have feelings because it is our most feminine time of the month.

There are so many gifts that our period gives us. We've been conditioned to think that our cycles are a drag, that we should push through them and pretend they don't exist. In reality, they are a direct link to the rhythm of the Earth and the mothering energy all around us. It's all inside of you.

    Your period is a portal.

In this episode, we talk about the sanctity of your moon cycle and why it's 100 percent okay to rest. More importantly, your body needs rest so that you can spend some time with your highest, most intuitive self during this time.

Learn all about accepting your emotions and being more gentle with yourself always, but particularly during your cycle. Plus, you'll hear all about why tampons may not be the best option when it comes to care.

  • Following my podcast hiatus, I make a pretty big announcement on this final episode of Bright Side of the Moon.

After losing my grandma this year, things shifted quickly and the experience has helped me create more authentically—in a feminine way. Like many episodes of this show, it's deeply inspired by a book; this time, it's Things are Going Great in My Absence. Around the time that this book appeared in my life, my grandmother passed away. Learning two lessons at once, this period of time showed me what I was missing—room to breathe and unconditional love of myself.

Plus, I found out what "unconditional love" really means.

In this episode, you'll hear about:

Creating in a feminine, fluid way that feels good rather than looks goodHealing and creativity burnoutMy grandma's gift of unconditional love and finally undoing my conditional relationship with myselfReleasing the old paradigm of "do" first and feel laterBeing addicted to fixing parts of yourself, striving and constantly pushing (even if it looks healthy)Using your mind as a tool rather than letting it call all the shotsYour heart versus your headKnowing that you don't need to be fixed, healed or changed to feel good—you're worthy of it now

I put my heart and soul into this one—I hope you feel it. Check out my new podcast, Nervous System Simple, which will launch in January of 2021, covering all things feeling good from the inside out.

For more on the nervous system, check out the Heal Your Nervous System course. We start next week!

Thank you for coming on this ride with me.

    xx,

    Paige

  • Over the last ten years, setting boundaries has become all the rage. But, we forget to think about an important part of this process - understanding our relationship with self-worth and feeling safe enough to have boundaries in the first place. If you don't feel safe, boundaries seem like a luxury for other people - in this episode, we cover why and how to feel worthy of boundaries, plus clearing your energy!

    We talk about:

The link between boundaries and self-worth Energetic boundaries and why they're importantMy story of feeling walked all over for most of my life and how that eventually changed when I lovingly decided enough was enoughKnowing that setting boundaries doesn't make you a jerk, but you can be a jerk while setting boundariesFeeling safe, healing the root chakra and revisiting times in our life when it wasn't safe for us to set boundariesUnderstanding how to care for yourself as an empath or a lightworker and knowing that your energy is sensitiveDaily practices to do to clear your energy - all day long you are constantly absorbing the energy of others, it's up to us to know how to clear it, especially right now!

I'd love to hear how you like these practices and if they're making a difference in your life. We practice them in my Heal Your Nervous System Course and they make such an impact.

People pleasing and its relation to self-worthFinding where you hold self-worth in your body like your sacral chakra, heart or solar plexus Reprogramming the nervous system to rewire beliefs that we learned earlier in life Viewing giving and receiving as equals and how this is a part of healing the collective feminine woundFeeling worthy now rather than after you do all the things Morgan's story with people-pleasing, over-working and under-valuing herself

  • I keep talking about why everything we're experiencing right now is the result of the awakening feminine. But, this episode dives into so much more, like creating from a place of enoughness, undoing programming that says life has to be hard and healing anything in our life that's built on shame.

    This episode covers:

    - Mars Retrograde in Aries: It's the first time this has happened since 1941 which was one of the worst years of WWII. We dive into what this means for the collective and ourselves on an individual level. Even if you listen to the episode after this transit, it's still a big deal.

    - Large societal structures are falling because the feminine is reemerging and needs more space than it's been given for the last 2000 years.

    - The discomfort many of us are facing is coming from allowing fluid, attractive, resting energy to awaken within us.

    - To unearth structures built on shame we have to let them fall.

    - I tell a very personal story of relearning my passion for singing and the arts. But, I was told I was too big and that the arts weren't worthwhile. This story comes full circle when I got my drum recently - my feminine is guiding me forward.

    - Undoing the overly-masculine idea that anything worth having doesn't come easily.

    - Why the nervous system is critical to creating the life you desire - we hold all of our traumas here and when we don't address them, they call the shots. In order to tap into the feminine, we have to heal our nervous system that runs on shame and guilt.

    - A simple practice to open your heart and tap into your feminine.

If you want a drum for yourself, check out Sean's Instagram page here.

Join the next round of the Heal Your Nervous System Course which starts on September 30th to help make this process easier and reconnect with your feminine!

  • Full disclosure - I recorded this months ago before 2020 came into full effect. I listened to it this week and remembered that the principles I outlined in this episode are still true - there is enough for everyone - even if the news tells you otherwise.

In this episode, I talk through common blocks around money and its relationship with your self-worth. And, while I've certainly learned more lessons about it this year, I still subscribe to the idea that more money doesn't solve money problems. It's like building a house on a broken foundation - just because you have more doesn't mean that there's no issue with receiving.

Use this time of uncertainty to heal any blocks around feeling supported by the universe. Learn how to receive without guilt. Start to fully implement the idea that giving and receiving are equals. Praise your bills instead of cursing them - say thank you for the services they provided. Staying in a constant state of gratitude for all that you have makes you magnetic to the natural flow.

This episode may bring up feelings of discomfort or unworthiness - that's okay. It's simply pointing you to where you can heal.

If you're looking to go further into this healing, the next round of the Heal Your Nervous System Course begins September 30th! We create powerful self-care tools that reset your stress response, clear out your limiting beliefs and give you access to kundalini, breathwork, meditation practices and more. You'll be surrounded by like-minded women who are committed to healing, having fun and creating a life based on what their soul wants.

  • A few weeks ago, I started reading a book called The Bowl of Light. When I first picked it up, I had no idea how deeply this ancient Polynesian philosophy would resonate with me. In this episode, I share about the parts of my journey when my bowl of light was filled with stones and I could barely get through my days.

Whenever I describe that time, I always talk about the choice I felt I had to make. I knew that I could choose to continue living in the darkness and likely perish, or I could trust the small speck of light that was streaming through.

That stream of light saved my life. This light shines within each of us - we just cover it with stones like old traumas, stories and resentments. I had no idea there was an entire spiritual philosophy based around this light I saw!

When I wasn't taking care of myself, my nervous system was filled to the brim with trauma and limiting beliefs. Thus, my bowl of light was filled and I couldn't be my true self, slowly losing power under the weight of expectations and my ego.

In this episode, I dive into vibrations, why the nervous system is so important and how you can reconnect with your true self. Making sure that we have physical and spiritual practices that support our growth is how we ensure our bowls of light are free from stones. I also talk about an incredibly healing practice from the book, Get Rich, Lucky Bitch. Forgiveness can be ugly and difficult, but it's one of the fastest ways to clear our your bowl of light to align with your purpose.

Take your power back. Dump out the stones. Heal your system. Forgive yourself. This is the episode to help you do just that.

If you're looking to go further into this healing, the next round of the Heal Your Nervous System Course begins September 30th! We create powerful self-care tools that reset your stress response, clear out your limiting beliefs and give you access to kundalini, breathwork, meditation practices and more. • The Earth is begging us to heal our hearts so that we can heal her. After taking a cacao facilitator training a few weeks ago, I learned just how potent this medicine is in healing ourselves.

I started this year off by leading a cacao ceremony in January. I had never attended or led one before, but I knew I had to share this medicine. I kept repeating, "No matter what happens this year, keep your heart open." I didn't know why then, but it's obvious to me today that this is the year where we heal our hearts on a collective and personal level.

Drinking cacao has healed me on so many levels, and I know that this medicine is so important to share. I talk about the elements of cacao and how they can help us deeply heal - for ourselves and for the planet.

This episode dives deep into what cacao is, how to implement a cacao routine into your life or just try it out. More of us need Mother Earth's guidance right now, and cacao gives us direct access to her healing. If you want to learn more about sacred cacao, you've come to the right place.

  • I stumbled upon the book Tara: The Liberating Power of the Female Buddha in April and, since that time, my life and spiritual practice has expanded before my eyes. After absorbing the teachings and wisdom of the female Buddha, Green Tara, I couldn't help but reach out to the author of such an amazing work.

Rachael Wooten, Ph.D., is a Zürich-trained Jungian analyst and psychologist who has been in private practice as a therapist for more than forty years. This was her first book - ever! And what a book it is.

In this episode, Rachael and I talk about the basic Buddhist principle in which we can all come together at points of intersection across different spiritual and religious practices. Rachael guides us through what Tara and her practices can do in our journey to healing the collective by healing ourselves.

She also discusses another pandemic of Western civilization - our penchant for feeling bad about ourselves. If you've listened to this podcast, you know that I talk about taking care of ourselves first and healing the world from that place. Rachael explains how we need both traditional means of healing trauma such as therapy and good friends, as well as spiritual practices to truly transcend and become who we are meant to be.

It is my honor to speak with Rachael about her experience with the Tara practice, her thoughts around the collective mother wound and the divine feminine. From tantra to Hinduism to Judaism to Shamanism to Tibetan Buddhism, we cover the origins of these practices that have shaped our world and continue to affect the way we interact with each other and the divine.

Rachael’s love for her children and all creatures on Earth is one motivation for making Tara practice widely available. Her hope is that readers use these methods to nurture themselves in meaningful ways, awakening a loving relationship to all life and empowering wise and heartful responses to current global challenges so that all beings have a future in which they may thrive.

Connect with Rachael on her website and find the book, Tara: The Liberating Power of the Female Buddha here.

  • When you sit down to do a self-care practice like meditation, yoga or kundalini, you're helping more than just yourself. In a universe where every single thing is connected, your energy speaks so much louder than your words.

If you've ever wondered how you can help make the world a better place, how you can uplift and change the world, the answer lies within your energy. When you align yourself with peace, joy, compassion and love, then you can truly create the change you wish to see because these are higher frequency emotions, and thus more powerful vibrations. Just by existing at that frequency, you uplift the planet. This superpower gets wildly underestimated, and it's a superpower that we all possess.

Instead of engaging in change from a human level of bickering, blame and arguing, your ability to center yourself with source brings about more power than any talking point ever could. Not to say that you can't stand up for what you believe in, I'm saying that when your energy is taken care of and harnessed with peace, then the changes that you make will help the planet from the inside out.

Your meditation mat is where you can change the world. Trust that instead of the noise.
