Shyheim and Sean explored a conversation around a sexual experience that stood out to them that they really enjoyed. They spoke about their introduction to sex at a young age and how those experiences created cycles of being obssesed with ejaculation and watching porn. Each of them wanted to shed light on sex and hygiene and how being educated on those things could really help young teens prevent things like bad odors and being exposed to diseases.

Happy Pride Month!!🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Sean and I Decided to speak on our experiences being two black gay men. The journey is for a lifetime but we felt that it was important to shed some light on some of our thoughts and life experiences during a month where we are highlighted globally. We each have similar but yet different experiences which we both believe gives you listening the opprotunity to hear two different stories. We also want to hear your story as well. Be sure to share it Via our DM, Email or Even on your social media Stories or even Twitter Threads and hashtag #CIHMPod.

We all have seasons in our lives that can be very uncomfortable and feel like life is so hard to get through even on just a day to day basis. It's only when we make peace with our uncomfortable moments and become truly transparent through that process that we're able to grow and learn. Shyheim and Sean did something in this episode that would usually make them uncomfortable and even feel like they're oversharing and that is letting their listeners in on some personal challenges that they're overcoming. The reality is a lot of people are dealing with similar things just in different points in life. It was important for Sean and Shyheim to let their listeners know they're not alone.

Sean and Shyheim discuss what society deems as a "Man" and how to be or become one. They've realized that they didn't necessarily have the tools and support to mold them into the men that they are today. They are still learning what "Being A Man" looks like for them. Sean explains how although he had a father around he still had to learn some things through life experiences alone and Shyheim related to that so heavily with him going through life without a father for 23years of his life and no other male influeneces around to mold him or just their to learn from.

HAPPY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH - HOW’S YOUR MENTAL HEALTH?
In this EP 8 Sean & Shyheim unpacked the journey of grief and what it looks like for them grieving the loss of a loved one who's transitioned and to grieving old patterns and behaviors within themselves that no longer serves the new version of who they are today. It was really important for them to shed light on their grieving journey because they knew that so many men deal with this and it becomes something that's so heavy on a man's heart that could potentially lead to other things in a mans life i.e. stress and or depression.

This weeks episode Shyheim and Sean have a discussion with questions around why they're here and finding purpose in life. They also discover that they just might be living in purpose everyday and just don't think so because of some of the limiting beliefs they're getting rid of or simply because it doesn't align with what the world says black men in their late 20's going into 30 should look like and what they should have accomplished. Shortly after, The guys get into a listening letter question from listener Jazz and share some feedback with her. If you'd like to be featured during the listening letter segment submit an email to [email protected]

Marriage is something that most people want to experience in their lifetime. However, the traditions that come with marriage can be the thing that make you think twice about if you'd like to get married or if it's just not something you're interested in because of society's pressure surrounding marriage. We discuss how we've evolved through relationship dynamics and are in a space where we too question what marriage looks like for us and we ask ourselves on a regular basis "Is Marriage For Me?" You'll listen to this episode and may begin to ask yourself the same question.

In this episode Shyheim and Sean discuss the dynamics in relationships with males vs females and how more often than not we have alot more in common as it pertains to how we show up in relationships from our attitudes, the way that we bond, our conversations and how we express our feelings and emotions. As men we are often viewed as emotionless creatures and that's far from the truth. We usually find oursleves not having the safe space to be vunerable enough to let most people in from the fear of being judge. We pray that through this podcast we are able to create a space for men to feel seen, heard and advocated for.

This weeks episode Sean and Shyheim unpacked some of their emotions even emotions that they found themselves suppressing. Realizing that suppressing your feelings instead of expressing yourself only makes things build up until one day you can't take it anymore. We're learning that it's important to get clear on your triggers so that you can identify them when they come up and deal with them accordingly instead of avoiding them. We've both identified that when we're intoxicated we notice our triggers expand and most times they're uncontrollable due to the substance at the time. The goal is to learn how to create healthy boundaries around certain topics when the timing isn't right.

Through trial and error we are still growing through the beginning stages of starting something new like this podcast. Today's topic is centered around entitlement something that we've all experienced in our lives at one point or another. It could've been us feeling entitled to something or someone...Maybe even someone being entitled to you and your energy.
We discussed how this can be a response from things we learned growing up consciously or unconsciously. This is something that spills over into our adult years and can create dynamics in relationships that are unhealthy. Expecting something from another person because you're use to recieving it from others is unfair when you've never had a discussion about your wants and needs in the relationship or even came to an agreement with that individual.
The Host Shyheim discussed how he too has had moments where he felt entitled in his friendships and having unrealistic demands for them. The Co-host Sean shared his journey through childhood traumas and explained how they may have led him into feeling entilted in our relationship.
We encourage you to give yourself everything that you require first so that if it's ever taken away by someone else you'll always have everything you need inside of you.

In this episode we discussed our shortcomings in the area of communication, What we believe effective communication looks like to us both as individuals and as a couple. As two adult men we find ourselves hiding behind our feelings and not speaking up and advocating for ourselves when we feel like we're being hurt by something a friend, family member or colleague said/did to us. We are still learning everyday how to ensure that not only are we effectively communicating with each other but also with everyone we come in contact with.
Effective communication starts with Intentional listening. The goal really should be to listen more than you speak. You'll come to realize a lot about people in your life if you just listen to them from a space of intrest as opposed to simply wanting to respond. We briefly highlighted text messages and how they easily get taken the wrong way as it pertains to communication as well.
