14:45 Face the emotion, face the problem
This is one of the most personal topics Iâve ever spoken about because I have BEEN IN THE TRENCHES of procrastinating so bad and hating myself for it.
Procrastination isnât just about laziness or distractionsâitâs about fear.
The fear that we wonât do it right, that weâll fall short, or that weâll fail in front of everyone.
Iâve been the person who delays sending that text, starting that project, or speaking up in a meeting because I wasnât âreadyâ or I was too scared of the outcome. Iâve told myself, just research a little more, prepare a little better, or wait for the right time. But deep down, I knew the truth: I wasnât avoiding the taskâI was avoiding the emotions that came with it.
The fear of rejection, inadequacy, or imperfection has held me back from so much. And honestly? Itâs exhausting. But Iâm learning to face it. Iâm learning that I canât tie my worth to an outcome or wait for things to be âperfectâ before I start.
In this video, I talk about the real reasons behind procrastinationâthe ones we donât always want to admit. Itâs about the discomfort, the self-doubt, and the pressure we put on ourselves to be extraordinary. And I share how Iâm slowly learning to celebrate the small wins, face the uncomfortable emotions, and take actionâeven when itâs scary.
If this resonates with you, letâs figure it out together. Give yourself grace. Start small. Because you deserve to try, even if the outcome isnât perfect.
