Fringe Festival - Kate Schrader and Ruth Harvey were appointed last year as co-directors of the 'Dunedin Fringe Festival
Both Ms Harvey and Ms Schrader have previously held part-time senior roles in the organisation, and are enjoying the transition to jointly steering the DFAT stable of projects.
We will discuss the history of Fringe Festival's internationally and the history of the 'Dunedin Fringe Festival in particular.
We will also talk about how the COVID-19 affected the direction and nature of events like the Fringe Festival and what we can look forward to in this Fringe Festival.

Dr. Reuwer is a retired doctor and a veteran of Unarmed Civilian Protection teams in Palestine/Israel, Ukraine, South Sudan, Haiti, Colombia, and Central America, as Reuwer share sWBW’s vision for alternative security. His goal is to learn what in the New Zealand record of peacemaking (such as New Zealand’s declaration of a nuclear-free zone) complements and how we can best focus our work for the abolition of war.
The tour is supported by the Religious Society of Friends of Aotearoa and by World BEYOND War Aotearoa.

Living in Japan - Geoff Sinha is a New Zealand born traveller talking about his 20 year residence in Japan.
We will talk about cultural differences between Japan and and the west. We will explore of the fact that Japan is a very modern country which nevertheless has held onto their traditions more successfully than western countries. We might also talk about the difference between traditional conservatism and right wing reactionary politics.

Volunteering South - Peter Claman prior to working for Volunteer South, he worked in public service - improving processes for vulnerable New Zealanders living with long-term mental and physical health conditions.
Steve Baker having spent close to 5 years in the UK, he has now settled in Ōtepoti Dunedin with his wife. Steve has a real heart for community development and brings much experience to Volunteer South from his previous roles. In the UK, he worked with adult international students.

Matt McCarten is a New Zealand political organiser and trade unionist, of Ngāpuhi descent. McCarten has been active with several trade unions including the Hotel and Hospital Workers' Union, Unite and One Union; the latter two of which he founded. He has also been involved with several leftist or centre-left political parties including , NewLabour, and the Alliance, parties.
