In this episode of the Corporate Calm Podcast, we have the pleasure of hosting a remarkable guest, Síne Dunne, the founder of Siest Sleep. Siest Sleep is on a mission to help people sleep better and experience the transformative power of quality rest. Síne Dunne's journey started when she struggled with sleep issues herself, and now, she shares her inspiring story and insights into the world of sleep health.
Síne Dunne's passion for helping others achieve better sleep led her to create Siest Sleep, an innovative company focused on improving sleep habits for everyone. Siest is inspired by one simple goal: to help you sleep better and wake up refreshed. The foundation of their philosophy lies in the belief that a refreshing deep rest can make everything in life a little easier and clearer, allowing you to feel more like yourself.
The Product
Síne's first product, the weighted Siest Sleeper, is a true testament to her dedication to improving sleep health. Designed and created by Síne herself, this product has already won the hearts of many sleep enthusiasts. The Siest Sleeper is not just another weighted blanket; it's a comforting solution crafted with care to help you drift off to sleep more easily. No complicated manuals required—simply hug it and experience the calming effect it brings to your mind.

The materials used are sustainably sourced, ensuring a positive impact on both you and the environment.
The Journey
As a testament to her dedication to sleep health, Síne is currently studying Sleep Medicine Insomnia at the prestigious University of Oxford. Her passion for understanding the science behind sleep and insomnia drives her to constantly seek knowledge and find better solutions for sleep-related issues. In 2018, Síne faced her own battle with sleep deprivation while working at Google. Surviving on just 5 hours of sleep per night, she realised the interconnectedness of stress, anxiety, and poor sleep. Instead of resorting to pharmaceutical solutions, she sought to develop a product that could genuinely help people sleep better and feel comforted.
Síne Dunne's number one sleep tip is simple yet profound: know when to ask for help. Recognising the importance of seeking support and guidance, she encourages others to embrace the idea of seeking assistance in their sleep journey.
