Dr. Tipler is a compassionate physician who followed her heart across the globe, saving lives and inspiring others with her down-to-earth energy and undying advocacy for those most vulnerable. She shares her story about what brought her from rural America into global medicine, elaborates on finding peace among the chaos of her path, and reflects on her most impactful patient cases, all while exemplifying what it means to be true to oneself.

    Guest - Dr. Pamela Tipler

    Today’s guest is an Internal Medicine Physician specialized in Palliative Care in aug, GA. she received her pre-med education at Lycoming College before attending med school at the Philedelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After med school, she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center. Following residency, she attended the Army Flight Surgeon program at Ft. Rucker, AL and then deployed to Egypt for 1 year as a Flight Surgeon. After active duty, she focused on Global Health before arriving at MCG to become the

    Director of Internal Medicine Residency Simulation Program and

    Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine

    Her primary interests lie in delivering medical care to remote villages. She regularly travels to Uganda, where she has opened a clinic and pharmacy.
