Itâs an election year, and it's proving to be especially vile. Abortion is a huge issue anyway, but this year it is even bigger than it normally is.
Right now, many states are introducing legislation that would criminalize abortion, allowing doctors and women seeking abortions to be prosecuted. This is an extremely complex issue & as someone post-abortive, it may be hard for you to hear about.

I am a person that thrives off of routines! Prior to my healing from my past abortion, I would try to implement all of these routines in my life only to be inconsistent and unsuccessful.
Once I found my healing, I had the tools I needed to notice my triggers, prevent them, and also respond to them when they occurred. Having a plan in place has helped keep my symptoms of Post-Abortion Syndrome at bay and has allowed me to live in the abundant life that God desires for each of us.
I've narrowed it down to 5 things that I do each day to help me with my mental health post abortion, and I am looking forward to sharing them with you!

Clara Munger is 23 years old, and, when she was 21, she had a chemical abortion. As a Christian, it can be challenging to face the damaging effects and consequences of abortion. If we listen to the world, we only get so far before we crash and burn. The fact is, we are NOT enough. We are NOT our own redemption. Redemption is only found through Christ.
So, what do we need to do? We need to turn to the Word of God to seek the truth about redemption so that when we are faced with these trials, when we are seeking healing, forgiveness, and wholeness from a past decision of abortion, we know what God says about it.

Before we dig into todayâs episode, I just have to give a disclaimer: this episode is not bashing therapy/mental health counseling! I am a firm believer that therapy is important, that licensed professional counselors/therapists are highly skilled, and I respect them immensely and hope to become one someday! I encourage therapy for sure.
This past fall when I was conducting market research for the podcast, the most common phrase I heard over and over again was: "therapy isnât working." It's important to remember that even though therapy is good, there can be roadblocks that we face.
In this episode, we are going to go over 3 reasons why therapy may not be helping you heal from your abortion or abortions and what you can do about it.

A majority of the women I encounter are women who have already chosen abortion. These women have been bound by the chains of shame and guilt for so long, and are searching for hope and just donât know where to find it. Many women take this secret to the grave, never finding true wholeness and healing.
Now and then, I do receive a message from an abortion minded woman. They find my podcast and reach out sharing with me why abortion is the best choice for them and why itâs necessary. Iâll be honest, this is hard to navigate. Itâs hard because I always want to lead with love and compassion, but I also know that if I donât say the right words, I might affirm her decision.
I am not all knowing, I donât have all of the answers, and I certainly am not perfect. However, since I do have abortion-minded women finding the show, I think itâs important for this episode to live here on the feed. So my friend, if you are abortion minded, this episode is for you. And, if you are not abortion minded, but you need some guidance on how to talk to someone that is, I pray that this episode will help you.

The post-abortion mission field is ripe for harvest. With an estimated 878,000 abortions in the first 10 months of 2023 just in the US alone, there is no wonder why we have women in distress needing help and not knowing where to turn. At the same time, each of those abortions is also a life lost at the hands of the father of lies.
Perhaps youâre feeling called into this mission field. You have a desire to share your testimony. You want to help other women choose life and not make the same mistake that you made. Maybe you feel God calling you to sit with the woman who has yet to know him but feels this deep hole in her heart because of her choice. Regardless of where you feel led, I can tell you that you are needed.
But, youâve got a roadblock: how do you serve where God has called you when you have family and friends that are discouraging you from moving forward? This is tough, and while I donât have all of the answers, I can share my personal experience to hopefully help you feel less alone and allow God to lead you where he needs you.
Even if sharing isnât something you want to do in the future, I do still think this episode is going to help you as you move through your healing journey. Without further ado, letâs go!
