Jessica Rich, MS, MHC-LP is a mental health counselor, yoga teacher, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling in New York City.
Jessica became inspired to choose this career after she was going through challenging times as a child and began meeting with a therapist at the age of 8.
The therapy ended up being life-changing for Jessica and the close and nonjudgmental relationship she developed with her therapist was the catalyst for her wanting to someday be that person for others who needed someone to listen.
In her work today, Jessica backs everything up with scientific studies to talk through individual issues and work toward feeling better. She specializes in working with couples, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, grief, and womenâs issues.
We talk about why communication is the key to a healthy and long-lasting relationship, why we should never settle, ways we can know when we've found 'the one', and the importance of mastering openness and vulnerability with our partners.

In this episode, Krista describes what it means to embrace change.
What changes are you going through right now? Are you going to college for the first time, moving to another city, experiencing a breakup, developing new relationships, or starting a new job? Understanding how you deal with change and embracing, rather than resisting, that change can help to bring you back to yourself.
There are three ways to embrace change:
1.Think of change as an opportunity.
2.Challenge your ideas of certainty.
3.Embrace the present moment.
One thing that we all know deep down is that change is necessary to living and fulfilling our most authentic lives.
Without change, we could never grow into the life that we are meant to live.

In this episode, Meghan discusses the power of gratitude. We've all had someone tell us at some point "just look at the bright side" or "count your blessings!", but what do those things really mean? Why is it that we can quickly point out everything that we don't like in our lives but we struggle to recognize all the good?
Having gratitude can help us recognize all that exists in our lives. We often don't see the things that are right in front of us. In this episode, Meghan suggests an exercise in gratitude: pretend that every day you woke up and knew nothing about your life. Not a single detail of what it meant to be you. Suddenly, you see a list next to your bed and so you pick it up and start to read. The list is every single positive thing that you have going on in your life. Whether it be a supportive family, a partner that you count on, great friends, a job that allows you to support yourself, passions that you discovered and now spend time doing, and the list goes on...
You would suddenly feel completely fulfilled because you went from not knowing you had anything to now seeing this life filled with goodness. This is what it means to have gratitude every single day. The fact about life is that there are without a doubt going to be good days and bad days. The magic is in how strong you stay during those bad days. No matter how deep in a funk you feel, practicing gratitude can help shift your perspective.

In this episode, Meghan shares 5 ways to quiet the inner self-critic that we all experience at one point or another. You know that voice in your head that tells you that you're not good enough or not worthy enough to be happy? It's time to elevate above that and reach your full potential by putting your inner critic to rest and using your energy to focus on all the good that exists within yourself.
The 5 lessons on quieting your inner critic are:
1. There is NOTHING wrong with you
2. Go back in time and heal
3. Let go of expectations
4. You are enough
5. Start writing
If you want to know how to be happy, it begins with quieting down anything that tells you you're not enough. You have always been, and will always be, enough.

We often let external things influence our internal state. How often do you wait for something to happen before giving yourself the freedom to feel a certain way?
Are you waiting for that certain job, perfect relationship, or fit body to feel happy?
We give power to external things. We ignore our own power to influence our internal state and convince ourselves that material objects, a certain status, the way we look, or who weâre in a relationship with is the REASON we feel the way we do.
True happiness and freedom come when we realize that the only person who can make us feel a certain way is ourselves. In this episode, we dive into how we can manifest the things we want by chasing the feeling rather than the thing.

This episode is an introduction to our experiences with meditation and is the first of many episodes where we will dive deep into the various practices of meditation and mindfulness.
One of our favorite definitions of meditation is from David Fontana, âthe experience of the limitless nature of the mind when it ceases to be dominated by its usual mental chatter.â Basically, meditation it the practice of experiencing your thoughts in a different way, and practicing being present with them.
Michael Singer, author and founder of Temple of the Universe Yoga and Meditation Center said, âyou are not your thoughts you are only the observer of them.â When we recognize that we are not our thoughts and that our thoughts are real but not necessarily true, we are able to understand ourselves on a deeper level.
How often in your day are you truly present? We often live in the past and the future and forget to embrace the present moment. Meditation is a way to quiet the mental chatter around anxieties of the past and anticipations about the future and really embrace what is in the here and now.
As women who experience anxiety, we have both have seen the significant benefits of our meditation practice. We hope to bring you all the power to change your thinking and even your life.

Weâre diving deep into one of our favorite quotes from Jordan Peterson - âcompare yourself to who you were yesterday instead of who someone else is today.â
We can fall into a cycle of comparing our relationships, our career, our appearance, and our financial situation to other peopleâs. By doing this, we set ourselves up to feel like we never truly match up.
Do you ever feel like youâll be happy WHEN something happens? When you look a certain way? When you make a certain amount of money? What if you could stop WAITING to be happy and be your fullest most vibrant self TODAY?
In this episodeâs conversation, we talk about how one of the most important things you can do for yourself is to let go of thinking you have to be like someone else and instead realize all the potential that exists in your unique self.
Letâs embrace where we are and elevate the present moment.

Hey beautiful people! We are so excited to begin this journey with you. Weâre starting the conversation with one of our favorite topics - social media.
The Instagram explore page often makes it seem that the content we post has to fit into certain categories, and has to appear perfect. Whatâs important to remember is that every social media user is essentially an autobiographer.
Each person is creating their own story of what their life is like through visuals that are housed in one place. While it can be a great outlet for self-expression and connection, it can also too often become a tool for comparison.
We want to recognize that the amount of likes we get on Instagram isnât a reflection of how valid and worthy we are in real life. Letâs elevate our experience by taking a look at our intentions of what we are posting, and recognize that we are worthy regardless of whether we post a photo that fits into the one consciousness of Instagram.
