  • In this episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I’m having a conversation with Jonathan Karlsson.

Jonathan is a pastor, church planter, father, but most relevant for this episode, he too has struggled with addictions to pornography and gaming.

These addictions are very prevalent in our Western society, especially among men. I know that many men want to break free from their porn addiction, but feel stuck. That’s why we will be talking about practical action steps that have helped us that you can directly implement in your life to start gaining victories.

Typically we don’t hear so much talk about gaming, because it’s often accepted in Christian circles. But is this right? Especially in our pursuit to learn to live as holy men, can gaming be a part of that? With this industry making more money than the music and movie industry combined, and its rapidly growing influence, it’s a conversation worth having.

This launches us into a broader topic of different sorts of entertainment and amusement. What are some principles that we should consider when playing video games, engage in pleasure seeking, and how we spend our time.

1:12 - "Bad porn is only bad for you if you let it be"

  • In this episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I’m having a conversation with Adrian Karlsson.

I once heard him preach a sermon about this topic and I knew, I need to invite him for this episode.

Working as a X-ray technician, he is used to needing to see through things to see what’s behind the superficial layer. And in our conversation we’re doing exactly that.

Many see Jesus in the New Testament as a God of compassion and love. But the Old Testament seems to portray a very different God, one that threatens, is angry, has people killed. While atheists and non-believers use those portions of the Bible to attack Christianity, many Christians prefer to ignore these parts.

But once we see through the superficial layer, with some principles that we’ll talk about, we can begin to understand even the most difficult stories in the Old Testament, and reconcile the, seemingly, two different Gods.

We’re touching on many topics such as why there is evil in the world, the concept of having a right to live, and how struggling and having questions with all this is a sign of growth.

1:24 - Loving God vs Liking God

8:48 - Reclaiming the Old Testament

15:30 - Jesus is the God of the Old Testament?

  • In this episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I’m having a conversation with Tommy Berglund. Tommy is an elder, he’s a preacher, a car mechanic and overall handyman and at the time of recording this episode, he just became a grand father.

We are discussing an incredibly important topic today and that is Biblical masculinity and identity. How can we live as men of God, and what does that even look like in our time.

We cannot talk about this topic without touching on feminism, the LGBTQIA+ movement and the Western attacks on the Biblical gender roles.

Controversial and sensitive topics, it feels like a landmine. But I believe this conversation will help us better understand God’s calling for us as men and leaders today.

  • In this episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I’m having a conversation with Cedric Gourmaud. Cedric is a humble French guy married to a Norwegian girl, he’s an engineer, and now works as a sales person for a secular company. Cedric is like most of us. But he is doing some things in his Christian life that we should pay attention to.

There’s three habits that touch on topics like media, discipline and giving Bible studies. When you implement these three habits, you will elevate your Christian experience, and take some big steps forward in your journey to learn to live as a holy man in a Western culture.

But before we get to that, we’re discussing the idea of holiness. What is that, can we achieve it as ordinary Christian men, and why is it important?

  • In this episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I’m having a conversation with Dr. Fredrik Kozma. Fredrik actually rather calls himself a Bible worker than a doctor, which is exactly why he is the perfect person to have this conversation with.

We start of by talking about personal priorities and ambitions, the pursuit of a secular career. Having a worldly mindset versus a Kingdom mindset.

And of course, we’ll be talking a lot about sickness, habits, and 8 practical action steps anyone should implement to better health. And not just physical health, but mental health and as is often forgotten, spiritual health. We’re talking about how these are more interconnected than we may think, in a concept called ‘the law of life’.

  • In the very first episode of the Holy Men Club podcast I am having a conversation with my friend Daniel Pel. He is a pastor, evangelist, international speaker, author, with a special interest in the Biblical prophecies.

In this episode we will be talking about the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. Not so much the details of all the events, but how we as holy men are to relate to it.

We’ll be talking about both sides in this conflict, the Biblical role of Israel in today’s world and end times prophecies, and how peace can be achieved in this region of the world.

But we’ll also bring the conversation closer to home, and discuss some very practical lessons that we can implement in our lives today, both in how we’re dealing with our enemies, as well as how we can be a force for good and peace.
