  • In this episode of HSDT, I had the pleasure of interviewing Anne-Marie Rose, an online business strategist and offer alignment expert with a wealth of experience in helping service-based leaders scale their businesses with clarity and confidence. Anne-Marie shared valuable insights on how she leverages high impact workshops to book out her online agency and attract high-ticket clients.

    During the interview, Anne-Marie shares:

How high impact workshops have the power to provide value to potential clients while also showcasing expertise and building trust. The difference between webinars, masterclasses, and workshopsWhy teaching impactful content in workshops is more impactful than the pitch. Why charging for workshops is more likely to attract participants who will convert into high-ticket clients.

Anne-Marie also introduced a valuable resource, a quiz which helps business owners determine the ideal workshop format for their specific business needs and goals. This tool provides a personalized workshop format recommendation and a sample agenda to guide business owners in creating impactful workshops.

  • Do you have trouble creating and holding your business boundaries?

As service providers, it can sometimes feel hard to enforce the boundaries that we’ve created but then, when we don’t, we often feel taken advantage of and burned out.

Jackie and I dive into the challenges of establishing and maintaining boundaries, especially for women and moms in the online business space. We discuss the common struggle of feeling the need to be available at all times and the impact it can have on both our personal and professional lives.

    Key Points Covered:

The challenges of setting boundaries as a service-based business owner. How Jackie learned to establish and maintain boundaries in her agency.Strategies for supporting your team in setting and respecting boundaries.Client feedback on agency boundaries and the importance of attracting aligned clients.

Listen to the episode for tips on how Jackie implemented boundaries in her agency, such as setting strict working hours, avoiding work-related activities in certain spaces, and respecting her team's boundaries. One of the highlights of the episode is our discussion on the importance of leading by example and supporting your online team in upholding boundaries to create a cohesive and respectful work environment.

  • In this episode I'm sharing valuable insights on how to "agencify" or productize your offers and create a scalable offer system for your online agency.

Why is this important? By templatizing your offers, you're able to carry out your services in the exact same or very similar way from client to client, no matter which team member is assigned to the project. It creates time efficiency and saves you money when you're not reinventing the wheel every time. And last but not least, it allows the services process to run without you!

In this episode we'll be walking through these 5 steps to agencify your offers:

Get clear on your offersCreate a high-level view of your processesMake note of where project plan templates, checklists, canned emails, etc can be incorporated.Create templates & SOPsTrain your team on the process

Creating a scalable offer system may take time but is essential for freeing up your time and allowing your agency to run smoothly without your constant involvement.

  • In this episode of the How She Did That podcast, we dive into the art of client satisfaction without the need for extravagant gifts or expenses. I share three actionable strategies that can significantly boost your client's happiness and ensure a thriving, repeat business relationship.

Define Success with Your Client - Understanding what success looks like to your clients is crucial. This ensures that you're focusing on what truly matters to them and addressing any potential fears they might have about the partnership.Keep Your Clients in the Loop - Communication is key. Clients may feel anxious about the process because they're not the experts. By keeping them informed about the progress, what's happening each week, and what's coming next, you can alleviate their concerns and build trust. Follow Through on Your Promises - Simply put, do what you say you'll do. Clients appreciate transparency and accountability.

By implementing these three strategies, you can create a business that not only meets but exceeds client expectations, fostering a relationship they'll want to return to time and again.

  • In this episode, I'm sharing a fast and furious list of the 10 Things Successful Agency Owners Have in Common (plus a couple bonus tips too).

Between my three different coaching programs, where I'm working with close to 100 different agency owners at all different stages in their journey, I've been able to see first hand the commonalities that set successful agency owners apart.

1 - Mastering Delegation: Successful agency owners practice the art of delegation, understanding that they can't do everything themselves.

2 - Handling Tough Conversations: They may not enjoy it, but they don't shy away from difficult discussions, knowing that addressing issues early prevents bigger problems later.

3 - Prioritizing Effectively: They focus on what's truly important and avoid getting sidetracked by tasks that may not be necessary at the moment.

4 - Staying on Top of Your Numbers: Knowing their numbers is crucial for maintaining profitability and making informed decisions.

5 - Balancing Work and Personal Life: Having hobbies and interests outside of their business makes them better CEOs by providing fresh perspectives.

6 - Being Proactive, Not Reactive: Anticipating needs and planning ahead helps them avoid "Oh crap" moments and stay ahead of the curve.

7 - Consistent Marketing and Sales: They make lead generation and sales activities a non-negotiable part of their routine.

8 - Learning to Say No: They understand the importance of setting boundaries to focus on what truly matters for their business and personal life.

9 - Their Team is Now Their Clients: They shift their focus from client support to team support, recognizing that a well-supported team will take good care of clients.

10 - They Don't Major in the Minors: They don't sweat the small stuff and allow minor issues to derail their focus or their business.

BONUS TIP #1 - Embracing Failure as a Lesson: They view failures as opportunities for improvement rather than a closed door.

BONUS TIP #2 - Decisiveness: They aren't afraid to make decisions, understanding that indecision can be more harmful than making an imperfect choice.

I hope this list resonates with you and helps you identify areas where you can align your actions and mindset with those of successful agency owners. Let me know which traits you connect with the most by reaching out on Instagram at @thetashabooth.

  • In this week's episode of the How She Did That podcast, I’m sharing how to cultivate self-leadership within your online agency team. I am a firm believer that every single member of your team, no matter their role, is a leader in their own right and it is my responsibility as CEO to help them develop those skills! By supporting them in seeing themselves as leaders and providing opportunities for growth, you can foster a culture of ownership, dedication and excellence within your company.

In this episode, I share how you can inspire the same leadership and autonomy in your own team:

Leadership is an Action: Leadership is about behaviors that align collective direction and execute strategic plans. It's something you do, not just who you are.Encourage Solution-Focused Approaches: Team members should bring solutions, not just problems. This fosters a proactive mindset and encourages strategic thinking.Ask for Their Input: Instead of always providing answers, ask your team members what they think. This empowers them to contribute their ideas and take ownership of their work.Utilize the "Ask Three, Then Me" Philosophy: Encourage team members to seek answers and solutions from multiple sources before coming to you. This helps them use their resources and become more independent.Implement a Tech Triple Check: This process ensures quality control and reminds team members to take responsibility for their work before it reaches the client.Promote Ownership and Responsibility: Allow team members to own their successes and failures. This includes letting them address their mistakes directly with clients, which is a powerful learning experience.Support Their Growth Outside of Your Direct Influence: Provide opportunities for professional development, such as coaching, courses, or stipends for books and conventions.

  • In this week's episode of the How She Did That podcast, I dive into the transformative changes we've made to our leadership team meetings to enhance productivity and maintain focus on our business goals. As a high quick start business owner with unmedicated ADHD, I found that our previous approach led to chaos and a lack of direction. We'd start the year with a strategic plan, only to lose sight of it as time went on.

To combat this, we've implemented a new structure for our weekly leadership meetings, ensuring we stay aligned with our goals and can adjust our strategies in real-time.

In this week's episode I'm sharing:

A breakdown of our revamped leadership meeting agenda. What key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics we review at the start of every meeting and why. The crucial question my team asks me every week that keeps me from being the bottleneck and avoiding CEO overwhelm.

By sharing this behind-the-scenes look at our leadership meetings, I hope to inspire other agency owners to refine their processes and create a business they love.

  • In this week’s episode, we’re going back to basics! It’s been a while since I spoke about my signature process called the Me to We Framework, which is the foundation of my coaching process for agency owners. This 6-step framework was created to take you from being a solopreneur to being able to fully embrace the CEO role in your agency and includes everything from “agency-fying” your offer, hiring, and handling those nasty mindset gremlins that will inevitably creep up!

    In this episode I’m sharing:

  • In my three day workshop I hosted this week for online agency owners, I talked about one of the hardest but necessary conversations in business - money and how to be intentional with the money we bring in and spend within our agencies. One of the keys to profitability in an agency is making money! Seems kind of obvious, right? But obvious doesn’t mean easy or guaranteed. It takes work and it requires intentionality. In order to make money, you need clients. And in order to get clients, you need a steady stream of leads. So in this week’s episode, we’re talking about the 4 ways my agency, The Launch Guild, gets clients. Even if your client roster is currently full, this is important information for you too, because what so many agency owners have learned the hard way is that stability can be ripped right out from under you before you even see it coming. You HAVE to be prepared.

In this episode we're talking about:

The necessity of always having an active pipeline4 key ways we get clients at The Launch GuildWhy you should never rely on just one lead generation strategy

But the long answer is what we’re diving into today. One thing I noticed about myself last year was I felt like I had to overdo things in order to make up for lost ground when expectations or goals in my business weren’t met. This may sound like a good strategy, BUT my philosophy is that when you focus on everything, you are focusing on nothing. So, what is a better strategy? That’s what we are diving into on this episode, so get out your pen and notepad and listen closely! I know these tips will resonate with you and hopefully lead you into an amazing Q1 in 2024.

  • Something that I see a lot of from the women inside of Agency Thrivemind is the fear around being disconnected from your team and your clients as the CEO of your agency. Whether you keep your agency small or large, where you fit within your agency and what you are doing day to day is going to shift and change as you grow. But once you start working more behind the scenes, stop being client-facing, and start doing less of (or none of) the implementation and delivery, I know the fear is that things will fall through the cracks and that your clients won't get the same client experience as they would working directly with you. So today I’m giving you some tips on how to stay connected with your team and with your clients as the CEO of your agency!

  • This episode is all about one of my least favorite topics ever... numbers. As CEOs of our agencies, we have to do the hard work that isn’t always fun, but is necessary. And while I love watching numbers pile up in terms of money, I do not necessarily love documenting them or tracking them, especially when things aren't going as well, right? Whether you are a newer agency owner or more seasoned like myself, I still want you to listen to this episode because even I need to be reminded of these things! Today I'm giving you five numbers that you need to stay on top of in your agency, and how to do it in a way that’s easy and makes sense!
