Eddy Pace of Evergreen Afrodub Orchestra joins us to talk about following his dream to build a collaborative ensemble of the region's best musicians to come together for the love of reggae, Afrobeat, jazz, and funk. William Berry composes, arranges, is the music director and also first trumpet for Clarion Brass, with Dr. Andrea Olsen conducting the annual "This is What Christmas Sounds Like" concert presented by KSPS-PBS. Clarion Brass is a 14-piece brass ensemble who've been gathering since 1993 to play the music of Spokane-based composer William Berry. Berry and Olsen talk about how music has shaped their lives and what it means to be a high level professional musician working with these large and talented classically-trained ensembles.
