It’s books that came out this year month! (No we didn’t change the theme literally at the last minute how dare you). We promised the rest of the year would be queer so that’s what we’ve delivered! Apart from reviewing ‘You Should Be So Lucky’ by our queen, Cat Sebastian, we also dive into the other queer books we’ve been reading the past few weeks!
-
For the final episode of October we are reading and reviewing Death in the Spires by KJ Charles and queer mystery! Which we all know is up Cat and Val's alley! And thankfully fits perfectly in out October theme "books with Death in the title!"
Val also gives us a run down of the books she's read off of Cat's infamous recommendation PDF

For October our theme is veeerryyyy deadly! We are reading books with Death in the title (or any variants of the word) To start us off Val has picked Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates a murder mystery book! On the subject of mystery the gals also chat about the Netflix adaptation of A Good Girls Guide To Murder (the book being a podcast favourite!)

Buckle in folks this is a long one! We have a lot of strong feelings about this one! Welcome to the second episode of "authors we hate" month! and of course we're doing none other than Colleen Hoover. We hope you enjoy our review!
-
A new month means a new podcast theme! For September we've decided to choose books written by authors we have beef with. We'll be reviewing 'Wildfire' by Hannah Grace for our first pick and if you've listened to our 'Icebreaker' episode, you'll know why.
…honestly, we kind of just wanted an excuse to be haters.
-
Welcome to trope month! That's right we're doing a different trope for every episode in August! And the last one is "Forced Proximity" and Cat has chose Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales about two girls who enter a reality TV show to win back their ex-boyfriend but end up falling for each other! Nothing more forced proximity than being stuck on a reality show together!

Welcome to Sapphic month! We cover the YA solo debut from Alyson Derrick, talk about a queer Romeo and Juliet retelling and draft Taylor Swift's Lover album.

The last book for our Book Adaptation Month is going to be The Duke and I by Julia Quinn which was popularized by the Netflix series Bridgerton! We are rather stuck on one particular scene from this book and we have a lot of opinions about it!
(and it wouldn't be an episode with a little Taylor game!)

Welcome to March our official Book adaptation month! Where we will be reading books that have either turned into a movie or TV show! And we're starting off with a big one! The classic The Great Gatsby and we compare it to the 2012 Baz Luhrmann version of The Great Gatsby movie!
We also play a little game where Val tests Cat's skills when it comes to ranking! And you know it has to involve Taylor Swift!
