There is a solitary, humble, wooden structure on a windswept hill in rural New England. To open the door is to engage our minds, our hearts, and our imaginations. In this place, preachers and professors, past and present, come alive as they walk the aisle, ascend the pulpit stairs, and teach…from theology, from history, and from the Word of God. Welcome to the Saybrook Meetinghouse, an audio production of Saybrook Ministries.

Saint John Bosco was a jewel in our history, a model of piety and a ferocious warrior against the enemies of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We’ll attempt to analyze all the facets of his pious life.
Prophet, diplomat, miracle worker, counselor, visionary, devotee of Our Lady, prolific writer, role model for wayward boys, founder of the Salesians, priest, rock of scandal, warrior against heresies…
It all can be summed up by the phrase, “Christianus alter Christus” -- he was Christ-like. He’s the patron saint of apprentices, editors, publishers, schoolchildren, magicians, and wayward children.
An attempt was made by the Salesians to document his daring deeds for Christ, which resulted in 19 large volumes that are the primary source material for our channel. He’s a veritable font of interesting anecdotes and inspiring stories.
The more we learn of and admire the saintly aspects of Don Bosco, the more we’ll be like him in our own lives.

This is a podcast about the goodness of G-d, and how to believe and receive the goodness of G-d from his Holy Word. G-d's Holy Word is his gift to us, because we are his creation. None of us are an accident. Your life is very important to G-d. You are not an orphan, you are not abandoned. You are one of G-d's children, and he has you in the palm of his hand. Regardless of your circumstances, you are loved.
Shalom,
