Birmingham's not big enough for the Blinders anymore so they're taking London in season 2. Which means it's time to talk about TOOOM HARDYYYY
-
I got Dani hooked on one of my favorite shows: Peaky Blinders. It's a gorgeous, violent show about 1920s gangsters with good acting and even better cheekbones. What's not to love? Just like with HACF, we're recording one episode per season. We did the first three a while back but paused once the protests started. Dani's been dying to see Adrian Brody's turn in S4 so we're finally starting up again. Here's our review of the first season of Peaky. Enjoy!

Episodes manquant?

Dani and I both loved the new Hulu romcom everyone is talking about! It's a brilliant new take on Groundhog's Day from the Lonely Island guys starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti. If you haven't seen it already, you gotta. It's a perfect 90 min feel good movie. If you have already seen it, well you're in the right place. Enjoy!

Aaron and Dani discuss the themes of gentrification and perception presented in Blindspotting, streaming now on Hulu, Prime, and HBO Max.
-
Spike Lee has a new movie on Netflix! Aaron Woodall does NOT have a show in SLC this week!
-
Ah yes, the moment six of you have been waiting for- we finally finish Halt and Catch Fire! Wow, we loved this show, and this last season was definitely our favorite. I cannot believe how much I cried.
And hey, speaking of the best shows we've ever seen HBO is making its Watchmen series free and available to everyone this weekend in honor of Juneteenth! If you haven't seen it yet, you really need to binge it this weekend. Its goooooooooood.

Ok, so I was going to put out the final installment of our HACF reviews today but Kyrie Irving inspired me to talk about School Resource Officers instead. That's right baby, I'm virtue signaling hard today! While giving myself an excuse to not edit AND still finding time to plug my next show! What an assh*le! Anyways, here's another thirty minutes of a straight white man regurgitating tweets he just read, enjoy!!https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/

Had to force myself to upload something today. I've been anxiously glued twitter for the last 48 hrs as my chest and stomach fill with dread as I wonder what it will take for America to change. But yeah, anyway here's a recap of a tv show! Truthfully this show has been a lot of fun for me and Dani to watch, this season included, it's just hard to be enthusiastic about something which seems really trivial now. Oh yeah, and before I forget, we do talk a bit about suicide at the end so,
CW: Suicide

Our binge of Halt and Catch Fire continues as Joe is bad at being good, Cam is a big baby, and Bos remains undefeated in season 2.

Thanks to a good recommendation, we have a new favorite show. It's an AMC show set in the cutthroat world of personal computing in the 1980s. It's on Netflix, and it's very bingeable. If you're not onto it yet, we highly recommend it. It's got great characters, good writing, cool music and Mackenzie Davis. We're gonna have an episode on each of the four seasons as we watch through it, so you can hear our thoughts as we go along.

High School Week continues with an Aaron favorite. We talk about the virtues of specificity and wax nostalgic for our days of youth as we review Stephen Chbosky's Perks of Being a Wallflower.
-
This week we're feeling old and regretting the mistakes of our youth as we watch a couple of good high school dramas. Today Dani is identifying with Nadine, the angry and irritating heroine from The Edge of Seventeen. Later this week Aaron's gonna be crying about The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
-
Are movies good or did we just see them as children? We try to figure that out as we talk about the power of nostalgia, the advent of CGI, and lots of Spielberg worship all in today's recap of the still-greatest Indiana adventure. Also: why Indiana is a huge asshole!
-
Great News! After 21 yrs, The Matrix still kicks an incredible amount of ass. We also discuss the joys of watching your first R rated film, from learning swear words to Brad Pitt-induced sexual awakenings.
-
Today is a Dani fav- an intimate documentary about the horniest little cartoonist the world has ever seen!
-
Today we're tackling two bingeable true stories available on Netflix and, as a warning, we're kind of Debbie Downers about Tiger King.
-
This time it's Aaron who's finally watched a Dani sci-fi favorite that she's asked him to watch for years. Under The Skin is a dark meditation on what it means to be yadda yadda there's butts and boners and stuff.
-
Dani finally watched one of Aaron's favorite movies, Blade Runner 2049 so today's episode is full of talk about humanity, memory, God, and why robots are dumb. Later this week, Under The Skin! Plus a bonus ep on patreon.com/mostlymovies
