I am currently taking a break, yes I know.. another break, for this season. My currently set up for recording and editing is changing (meaning that the website I used no longer exists). I either will try to find a different platform to use to finish 5 more episodes of season 3 or stop. I am currently returning to full time work and don’t want to overload my plate. Hope you all understand ✌🏼 -

Yes this podcast is about parent/motherhood. Why can't it be about auntie-hood (lol?). My sister, Kelsey, joins me this week to discuss the joys of being a auntie, the expectations of society to have kids or how to parent kids (all about the shame from society!), and the transition for me into motherhood. TRIGGER WARNING. This week my co-host, Marissa, and I talk about miscarriages. For women, about 1 in 4 will experience a miscarriage. If this pertains to you, know you are not alone and there is support. Whether you reach out to family, friends, or strangers, know you are not alone. If this episode will be too much for you, please skip. We go into this topic with a heavy heart, but it is important to talk about. I promise you the whole episode is not heavy, but to warn you, miscarriages are talked about.

Please welcome Jailyn, teacher and new mom, as my co-host this week. This episode we will discuss how competitive daycare is and the dynamic of it for kids. Jailyn also expresses how it is acceptable for a women to decide to only have one child (or no kids at all!), and we both share the scary thought of having twins (yes, truly a blessing, but as a first time mom, it really scares the shit out of me). Enjoy (add french kiss).

Welcome back! We start of season 2 with wellness coach and nurse, Rhia. We talked all things postpartum health and fitness, such as, our thoughts on the available support for mamas after baby comes. I am so excited to be back doing this again. It was honestly difficult to find the motivation to record back in January 2023 due to me being in the first trimester of my second pregnancy. Debilitating fatigue is not fun and had complete mom guilt not being able to active for my son. I reminded myself that this stage is not forever, and now I finally have more energy. Season 2 here we come! Welcome to unfiltered motherhood truths. Welcome to Motherhood, New Mothertrucker. Buckle up.

I started this podcast to bring awareness that a moms voice is usually
silenced because “she asked for this”. Having a difficult transition
into embracing a new role, I faced depression, anxiety, rage, and
insomnia. With the help of my loved ones and counseling, my mental
health improved by 💯 percent.Did I ask for depression? noDid I ask for anxiety? no Did I ask to be angry all the time? noDid I ask not to sleep? no (I understood there is definitely a LACK of
sleep, but there is a big difference surviving off of 3 hours vs. 6
hours of sleep) When new parents or new moms share that they are
having a difficult time, no one listens. Society tells us to keep our
thoughts to ourselves as this is the HAPPIEST moments in our life. So,
we as new moms, it feels like something is wrong with us. So we stop
sharing, we stop talking, we stop asking for help. This is where
loneliness sets in. Resentment. Sadness. Hopelessness. It’s a tough transition from getting all the love and support in the world when
are are pregnant, but stops in postpartum… Why is that?THIS 👏🏼 IS 👏🏼 WHY 👏🏼 I 👏🏼 STARTED 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼 PODCAST To talk. To listen. To share. Everyone is different. Every baby is
different. Some are easy, some are not so easy (but are all good
babies!!!). And don’t get me wrong, I did and still love the transition
into motherhood. There are highs and lows. Just maybe I had more lows
than highs or vise versa. I love being a mom and I can’t wait to hold my
second one in my arms ❤️ but I also know I matter as a human being and
that my identity is not just a mom. I have to work on my mental health
first in order to give what I can to my kids. If this pertains to you, please give my podcast a follow on Apple or Spotify -

Hello everyone! From saggy boobs to the influence of western society on motherhood, I have Teela joining me to discuss the society pressures of co-sleeping, breastfeeding, women's body image and much more. Teela comes from a background of health and wellness and is now kicking ass as an entrepreneur and as a mom. She sheds the light on how, as society, should add the narrative back into a women's voice and empower women's choices. From back in the day to now, things have changed, drastically! We went from diminishing a women's story about PPD and making fun to now talking and listening to this narrative! Of course this is referred to the Brook Shield's and Tom Hanks' story talked about in this episode (I did have to call my mom to ask who the actress was, lol). This episode was recorded on November 13, 2022***, so this is a brand spanking new and fresh episode! Please take a listen!
***Past episodes have been prerecorded by a few days to weeks to make sure there was enough content (episodes) when being released to the public.
