This week on Runnah, Iâm sharing my full race review of the 2025 26.TRUE Marathon, held on Saturday, April 19th. This wasnât just a runâit was a movement. Designed to spotlight the vibrant, diverse neighborhoods of Boston, 26.TRUE is an unsanctioned 26.2-mile tour through the real Boston, celebrating communities too often overlooked during traditional marathon weekend.
From the start line to the final stretch, the city came alive. It felt like all of Boston rose up to carry us forward. Iâm talking about the electric atmosphere, the immaculate vibes, the energy on the courseâand yes, a few things that couldâve used a boost (looking at you, bathroom situation đ).
Whether you ran it, watched it, or are curious about the future of inclusive running events, tune in for my reflections on what made this race so powerful, what could be improved, and why this is a marathon that matters.

I laced up a pair of Altra Torin 4 Plush for a first-run review, and let me tell youâI was ready for some zero-drop, max-cushion magic. And at first? Pure bliss. But then I took a closer look and thought⊠Wait, did something take a bite out of these already?! Hereâs the deal: I bought these used, put 8 miles on them, and now I have serious questions about durability. The ride? Smooth. The fit? Dreamy. The lifespan? Uh⊠TBD, but itâs not looking great. Iâm giving them a 4/10 for durability, but is that enough to scare me away? Or will I keep rolling the dice with these plushy bad boys?
Tune in for my first-run impressions, the good, the bad, and whether these shoes will lastâor end up as another victim of the shoe-eating monster lurking in my closet.

Strap in, Runnah listeners, because this episode is a deep dive into one of the most legendary races aroundâthe Falmouth Road Race! Heâs a bestselling author, award-winning journalist, and the guy whoâs written the book (literally!) on Falmouthâs favorite road race.
Paul has covered everything from the Boston Marathon to Steve Prefontaine to legendary coach Bill Squires, but today, weâre talking all things Falmouthâhow it started (hint: it involves a bar), the running legends whoâve raced it, and how it became a must-run event for pros and locals alike. Welcome back to Shoe Eating Monster, where I push shoes past their breaking point so you donât have to! This episode is a big oneâthe PUMA ForeverRun Nitro 1 has officially earned its spot in the âOver 100 Miles Clubâ, meaning it survived my relentless mileage test better than most. With over 125 miles logged, these shoes have proven their worth with Nitro foam cushioning, killer traction, and rock-solid stability.
Iâm giving them a 9/10 for durabilityâthe midsole is still bouncy, the ride is smooth, and they feel as stable as ever. But no shoe is perfect. The outsole is starting to show some wear, the forefoot runs tight, and the 10mm drop might not be for everyone. The good news? This model is on sale for just $80, making it one of the best deals out there for a reliable daily trainer.
So, is the ForeverRun Nitro built for the long haul, or did it just barely survive? Tune in to find out!

Welcome back to Shoe Eating Monster, where I devour shoes. This time, I put the Altra Lone Peak 6 to the test after picking up a used pair. And let me tell you⊠these things are TOUGH. I ran them hard, and somehow, they just kept going. In fact, Iâm giving them a 9.5/10 for durability, which is nearly unheard of in my book.
These zero-drop legends are known for their roomy toe box, grippy MaxTrac outsole, and responsive Altra EGO midsole, making them a dream for trail runners who love comfort and control. The quick-dry upper handled everything I threw at it, and the StoneGuard protection kept my feet from getting wrecked.
So, did the Lone Peak 6 survive my torture test? Absolutely. But are they the perfect trail shoe? Tune in to find out!

Welcome to Shoe Eating Monster! Ever felt personally betrayed when your favorite running shoes fall apart way too soon? Yeah, me too. Thatâs why I started these videosâto put shoes to the test and see which ones can actually survive the mileage.
In this episode, I talk about why durability testing is desperately needed in the running shoe world. Weâre shelling out big money for these shoes, forming weirdly deep emotional connections with them (donât lie, youâve got a pair you refuse to throw away), and yet⊠most reviews barely mention how long they actually last! This is an untapped space, especially for female shoe reviewers, and Iâm here to change that.
Join me as I break down why this matters, how much money we could all save, and what you can expect from Shoe Eating Monster! Got a shoe you want me to destroyâuh, I mean, test? Let me know!
