Welcome back to another week of Short Pour! We are getting in the Holiday Spirits and will be checking out a few different drinks for the rest of the year as we take a little break from beer. We start off with a cookie flavored brandy that is absolutely delicious. We find a reviewer that thinks it reminds them of a timid hug.
This week we get to learn about Cookie Monster. COOOKIEEEEE! We explore his early start in some commercials and training videos and the word snatch comes up way too often. We also discuss his start on Sesame Street and what it takes to feed him all those cookies! We also get stuck on a sprite pancakes tangent. We end with a few fun facts and discuss how cookies are supposed to be a sometimes food.

We of course, have a few questions about this ghost story. Somehow we end up discussing Jean Valjean? We then explore where bedsheet ghosts came from. Who knew burial shrouds would come into play! We also check out modern uses of that style of ghost and some famous appearances in movies.Special thanks to reminds me for the title music!

Welcome back to another week of Short Pour! This week we get our shortest review ever, but it might have some staying power! Another reviewer seems to be confused about whether or not they like the smell of beer.
Our topic this week is the chequered flag. We explore its ties to Oktoberfest and the Bavarian sky. We also talk through the myths about its origin before we get to the real one. Midwestern past-time of horse racing and dinner seem to play a big role and we check out some of its uses outside of racing.Special thanks to reminds me for the title music!

This week we have a first for Short Pour and we check out a non-alcoholic beer, Boulevard's Flying Start. The beer sends us on a trip down memory lane as we revisit book fairs. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, a book about hiding things around your house that may have worked a little too well, and a book about making paper airplanes were some of the highlights!
As we explore paper airplanes we learn about how they got started, how they got their current typical shape, and a few of the random records. Who knew someone could catch so many in their mouth?Special thanks to reminds me for the title music!
