Colossians 3:23-24 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." In all the work we do and the way we conduct our business, we should be doing all of it as if we are doing it unto the Lord Himself.

There are millions of people who have never heard the gospel in so many countries. It can seem challenging to be a missionary in a foreign place and try to build the church. How is it done effectively?
Josh Howard has spent the past 16 years of his life as a Christian missionary in India. In his time their, thousands of people have been reached and come to Christ. Some people imprisoned in child-trafficking have been rescued as he and his wife helped free them and care for them in the aftermath. Many people who were deaf or blind or paralyzed were miraculously healed when receiving Jesus. Josh and his family truly have experienced building the church like in the book of Acts. Truly a testimony to the fact that Jesus really is alive.
Josh shares some of his stories and current situations in India today. He updates on next steps and what he sees that God has for him in this new season. Cultural Indoctrination can seem so strong when it comes to influencing our children. It's hard to be a father when you're running a business, and feel like you aren't doing a good job at home. It may feel like you're failing and useless. But that's not really true. Dads have so much influence. More than they realize when it comes to their family and especially their kids.
No dad is perfect. But that's okay. Nick Adams knows that more than anyone. Nick had a disengaged alcoholic father who eventually tried to kill him and his mother. Nick had minimal contact with his dad, but he also had many scars. But even though Nick's father was far from perfect, there were still many good things that he imprinted on Nick's life.
Dads influence their kids no matter what. For good or for bad, dads are influencing their children. It's not about doing everything right. It's about making little steps of progress along the way. Many times, it's the very small intentional steps that go far and deep into your child's life.
Dads already have it hard enough. Even when we mess up, it's okay to ask for forgiveness from our kids. Even that is valuable in teaching them and connecting with them. Disengaged fathers are the one common thread to almost all of societal problems, whether it be divorce, addictions, crime, poverty, teenage pregnancy, behavioral disorders, rape, suicide, etc. Over 80% of incarcerated people have a disengaged father.
80% of young adults abandon their faith when their father has not been their spiritual leader. 80% of young adults retain their faith when their father has been their spiritual leader. When a father follows Jesus, 93% of his family will follow. If only the mother, the percentage drops to under 20%. We can see the overwhelming importance of dads leading & modeling well for their families.

Many times in our businesses, we have systems that are too complex. We have employees that become disgruntled, unmotivated, or burnt out. We have leaders who are overpaid and who underperform. We're accomplishing many goals, but they aren't that fruitful because we're forgetting the few goals that we actually specialize and excel in.
Lee Benson of @execute-to-win specializes in helping large and small companies fix all these problems and more. In Lee's book "Your Most Important Number" he talks about alignment decisions and accountability. As Lee tells Brett one of his main sayings is 'Execute To Win.' Which is one of Lee's organizations.
In this discussion, Lee delves into the importance of alignment in organizations as well as accountability. What is your Most Important Number & What are your Drivers? What one number above all others 1) reflects the value of your organization and 2) drives behaviors of everyone in the organization? These are critical in understanding and creating the right business strategies for your company and executing effectively.
If you get this right at the top, and communicate it clearly, this will trickle down to each team within the organization for them to create their own unique Most Important Number that will flow into the overarching most important goals. Not only does clarifying the strategy and plan help everyone understand what it is they need to accomplish, but it helps everyone in the business take more initiative and ownership and drives them to add more value to their position. It will help all team members deliver or over deliver toward the goals.
Lee emphasizes that this can't be something that sounds good ideally, it must also be a believable and achievable strategy for proper execution to take place. If the path isn't believable with a proven track, then nobody will be motivated to execute.
Lee overstates that if we can get everyone to understand the vision and empower the team members to truly create value, the planning and execution of goals becomes much more enjoyable. And even though there are struggles, the struggles end up being viewed as fun, because we know there are achievable goals we get to utilize real developed skills and creative cognition that energizes us as our team knows they absolutely were built to overcome each struggle they face.
