October 16, 2024 ~ The focus shifts to the Detroit Lions. Yesterday it was announced that the Detroit Lions and defensive tackle Alim McNeill agreed to a four-year contract extension with $55 million guaranteed. Anthony and Ryan break down the recent contract extensions from the Lions and how the Brad Holmes has done a good job at retaining their home-grown talent. Then Anthony and Ryan discuss the need to make a move to fill Aidan Hutchinson’s role, what they feel comfortable trading and who the Lions should target and what each target could cost.

Anthony questions the toughness of the Wings and also wonders why Ville Husso got the start in net for game one of the season and was immediately sent down to Grand Rapids after a poor performance. Then John Wagner joins the show to give his “Super 16” ranking of the college football teams, the Tigers faltering in the final two games of the ALDS to Cleveland and Aidan Hutchinson’s injury versus Dallas.

October 14, 2024 ~ The Detroit Lions went to Dallas and blew out the Cowboys 47-9. While the looking at the box score is nice, the story of the game is Detroit Lions star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson leaving the game in the third quarter with a broken tibia. Anthony reflects on the injury and how the injury left him and many others with an empty feeling after the blowout win. Then Anthony and Ryan break down the drive chart of Lions/Cowboys game which saw the Lions scoring on nine of ten offensive possessions.

Anthony and Ryan discuss the disappointment from last night and break down the Tigers loss and why in the playoffs, the little mistakes get put under a microscope.

Then Anthony and Ryan talk about the Detroit Tigers being one win away from being in the American League Championship Series. The Tigers beat the Guardians 3-0 on Wednesday evening and take the 2-1 series lead. Anthony and Ryan break down the game action and the overall atmosphere from the game last night.

October 9, 2024 ~ The Detroit Tigers are hosting their first playoff game since 2014, with the special occasion the team has released a few new food and drink items for the playoff series. Anthony and Ryan break down what is new at the ballpark then dive into the previewing game three of the American League Divisional Series. Anthony and Ryan take a small break from sports to discuss Hurricane Milton as it is prepared to hit the Tampa Bay area later today and hope that all that have family in Florida were able to relocate to a safe space.

October 9, 2024 ~ The MLB playoffs have been electric so far; Each series in the divisional round was tied up at one game apiece before the Mets and Padres each won game three last night to take a 2-1 series lead. Anthony can’t get enough of the San Diego Padres and Fernando Tatis Jr, while Ryan has had enough of Tatis, his connection to steroids and the Padres. Then Anthony shares his conversation with Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo from the Breslin Center last night where the Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns held a NBA preseason game.
