This week we’re talking about kindness and how the familiar holiday-season message to BE KIND TO OTHERS fails to include the all-important reminder to be kind to ourselves.
At a time when many of us are feeling triggered by family members and struggling with how we react to them, we explore how to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, which is the greatest act of kindness of all.

When we’re feeling resentment, we often get stuck in it, and think the only way to escape is to hash it out until the other person agrees to behave differently.
But what if that resentment is actually directed towards ourselves? And what if ruminating on it is never going to help us anyway?
In today’s episode we talk about why FEELING resentment is your way out of it. Take a listen and then come say hello over on Instagram @joryancoaching. -

When you’re not willing to pay attention to your desire to rest, this directly affects the quality of attention you pay your kids when they talk.
Rest is a practice, just like focus and connection are too and in this episode we explore why it’s worth practicing, even through the discomfort that inevitably comes with it.

In this week’s episode we’re talking about choosing your own identity rather than letting what’s happened to you or something someone else said define it for you.
Come take a listen and then send me a message to let me know what identity you are choosing for yourself in this phase of your life now.

You’re stuck in the fear that people are mad at you all the time.
But it’s not because they are; it’s because you’re mad at yourself.
Yes, it might stem from a childhood with chronically angry parents, but you’re also angry that YOU didn’t speak up.
You couldn’t, then. It’s ok.
You can now.
Yet there’s something you want that you’re not speaking out loud.
The only madness is in staying silent and stuck.
In this week’s episode we talk about how to let ‘mad’ be your fuel to move so that you can create exactly what you want for yourself. -
Welcome to Season 2 of Stay-At-FULL Motherhood!
Today we’re exploring how to make the changes you want when it feels awful to do so - based on my experience of moving the family across the country this summer.
Take a listen and then come let me know what change you’re currently struggling to make by sending me a message over on Instagram @joryancoaching . -
What you focus on is always going to be what you create for yourself.
When you learn to bring your awareness to what you’re thinking about, and talking about, and worrying about, and getting excited about, you can see where you’re placing your focus in your life.
And once you see this, you then get to CHOOSE whether you want to continue on in what you’re currently experiencing or focus on something different.
YOU are a powerful creator and in this episode, I share my own story about how I created exactly what I wanted for myself in my life as a stay-at-home mom-of-three.

In this episode, we look at the good news behind why your brain goes to thinking this way, and how you can work WITH it to go for what you want alongside your motherhood.

We’re all trying to make motherhood easier - by researching tips, tricks and hacks on the internet and looking for systems someone else has created that are guaranteed to transform our lives from messy to mastered.
But the thing is, we already know everything we need to know; there’s just one thing we don’t want to DO…and that’s to feel the feelings that are bound to come up when we start to approach trying to make a change in our lives at home.
In today’s episode, we explore why we would WANT to feel those feelings and the benefits of being in the discomfort of doing so - so that we can truly accept where we are now AND move forward with the changes we want to make.

It can be disheartening or even devastating when Mother’s Day doesn’t go as you hoped - especially when you see other moms being so lovingly celebrated on social media, while you’re left with nothing.
In this episode we look at why Mother’s Day so often disappoints, what it really means for you, and what you can do about it.

We all know that good and sufficient sleep is important for our health and wellbeing, and we also know we’re not the only ones out there depriving ourselves of sleep through our bedtime procrastination - or in other words postponing going to bed without there being any external circumstances that force us to do so.
In this episode, we explore why we do it and what the real solution is - and it doesn’t involve being stricter with ourselves or being more disciplined!

When we’re feeling guilty about not contributing financially, this is often not about the money at all.
There IS a gap here, but it might not be monetary; instead it could well be about the gap between your expectations of stay-at-home motherhood and your reality as you’re now living it.
Listen to today’s episode, which explores this gap, your resentment towards your partner, and the information it gives you about your longing for something more, and then come sign up for a free discovery session at my website:

When we’ve been rushing and running late for many years, we see this as part of our identity - just WHO we are.
But this is not who we are, it’s how our nervous system is responding to a perceived danger or threat, and we can help ourselves by bringing ourselves back to a feeling of safety.

We were taught as kids to hand our authority over to others - someone else always knew best.
So it’s no surprise that you still tend to do that now - after all it’s what is known and safe.
But it didn’t feel good in your body when you did that as a kid, and it definitely doesn’t feel good now.
You can learn to trust what your body is telling you about what’s right for you - and that starts with slowing down enough to listen to it.
