We reviewed The Batman as sequel to Twilight, a fun joke refereeing to one of the stars that was born from the vampire love story. But to be fair there was two starts born out of that blood sucking union. Kristin Stewarts career simmered down for a moment but then came back in full force. Some would say Spencer is the film that defines her greatness as a performer. We are all about greatness here, and what better way then to look at an actress taking on the role of a real world icon. Princess Diana had a troubled life that ended in tragedy. The peoples princess some would refer to her as. Is Kristen Stewart the peoples actress some claim her to be? You'll only know if you listen this weeks episode. Spencer!

Riddle me this!
We’re really glad Robert Pattinson was able to grow into new roles as an accomplished actor, even if this role is simply a transformation from vampire to bat!
The former Twilight star has reached his final form! The Batman! Now we admit that Batman movies have been a bit overdone and expectations were low for this movie, but we’re happy to report that this story exceeded expectations! The Batman tells a brand new story that’s different from any version of Batman before it, and we’re here to tell you all about it!

An episode so long we had to split it into two. This being the second and final part.
Washington State and the PNW are well known for lots of things; apples, rain and gloomy weather, and… vampires? On this special collaborative episode we asked not one, not two, but FOUR guests to help us review Twilight, the first film in a series based on the novels by Stephanie Meyers. Featuring the breakout talent of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, this awkward teen romance/action/drama is packed with plenty of relationship red flags, uncomfortable interactions, and enough high school angst to fill a small town!
Pick a side and find out which team you’re on, we’re glad to have you!

Film Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPEYpryMp2s
If there's anything we like more than Star Wars, its probably talking about Star Wars.
In celebration of May 4th, we have our first Star Wars film. How fitting it would be a Solo episode about the legendary smuggler himself. When Empire Strikes Back hit theaters in 1980 Some said it spelled doom for the franchise, but now it’s much beloved. So let’s go back to 2018 and revisit Solo, a film that was panned by critics then, and see if it’s aged like fine wine now.
Happy May the 4th! -

Just when you thought you knew all there is to know about time travel, a new story comes along that breaks the mold and flips the script! Who are we kidding, none of us know enough about time travel to make any sense of it. Big Adam (Ryan Reynolds) is from the 2050’s, where despite not getting to actually see it the world looks like the “Terminator” future on a good day. A time jump gone wrong causes him to travel to an unexpected destination, and despite knowing that it would break all the laws of time travel he must recruit his younger self on his quest to fix the past and save the future!Brought to you by the same team that made Free Guy, and filled with plenty of laughs, action, and enough references to satisfy any fan of popular time travel movies, this Netflix Original did not disappoint!

There’s a million shows and movies you have to watch and so little time. We face the same issue here at Stranded & Streaming. So for this weeks episode we talk about a variety of shows we have enjoyed, that have yet to be reviewed in detail. Also some fun discussions about failures of streaming services. So this is the first of hopefully many Watcha Watching episodes. As long as you don’t complain about it too much. Also let us know on our Instagram. What are you watching.

The Crazies:
About 12 years ago in a small farming community in rural Iowa, the government lost a plane carrying a top-secret military experiment and within days all hell broke loose. Borrowing elements of classic horror themes like military experiment gone wrong, senseless murder, and zombies, The Crazies delivers a wild and fast paced thrill ride that you won’t soon forget! In this episode we discuss small town agriculture, how to survive a nuclear explosion, and the undeniable fact that Timothy Olyphant was and is meant to play the “rugged rural lawman” role!
Go a little crazy with us this week and don’t drink the irrigation water!

National Treasure Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqUPxNT8io4
We often credit Tom Hanks as Hollywood’s hardest working actor, but Nicolas Cage has to be Hollywood’s most dedicated actor. Get ready for a wild thrill ride that is equal parts history, conspiracy, and adventure!
If National Treasure doesn’t convince you that our founding fathers fought and died for something other than our fledgling nation’s freedom, not sure if anything else will! And if Nic Cage doesn’t convince you with his performance that there’s a treasure map hidden on the back of the Declaration of Independence… well, listen to our review on your way to D.C. and you’ll find out just how convincing it is!

Oh em gee, did you notice this is our first sequel episode?
This weeks is Part 2 of our up coming trailers and discussion, and a bonus of some trivia between the hosts. Usually sequels are a winner in the movie world, its the third entry that generally goes to crap. Lucky for you our trailers only get a sequel. Let us know what you think via our Instagram @strandedandstreaming. -
You've seen movie trailers before. But have you tried listening to them? Fear not we do it with you this week. Imagine a world where the entire global infrastructure is crippled by a rapidly spreading novel virus with no cure. Shouldn’t be too hard to imagine something like that after living through similar circumstances these past couple years!
Contagion tells the story (through multiple perspectives) of a global pandemic from Patient Zero, through the chaos and shutdown of society, to an eventual cure, and all the struggles in between. Some would say this movie feels a little too real to watch now, but it makes us wonder… is Steven Soderbergh a time traveler? Was he trying to warn us? What will he show us next?!
If there’s only one thing you learn from Contagion, let it be this: wash your hands and stop touching your face!

Emperor’s New Groove-
If you’ve ever wondered why Llamas are so revered in South American cultures, Disney has the answer! Just kidding, he totally deserved it. Kuzco will have to eat a big slice of humble pie and learn to be a friend if he wants to become human again! Full of magic, suspense, panthers, revenge, a narrowly avoided federal crime involving the postal service, and a literal plot hole identified by yours truly, this one has it all! Well, almost… just need to find a good spot for the pool!

So sit down, grab yourself a bowl of Tasty Wheat or a cookie from Seraph, and free your mind! Oh, and if the Wachowskis ask you to go clubbing with them just make sure to ask what the dress code is first.
